We are currently working with a market leading manufacturer and fitter of specialist HGV and plant vehicles. Established for over 30 years, our client has sites across the UK and due to growth, are currently seeking a Vehicle Technician for their Dover site.

Hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 4.15pm plus overtime.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

*A background working in vehicle mechanics, ideally with some experience in electrics.
*Experience of either welding, gears or electrics is desirable but not essential.
*Electrical knowledge in relation to large chassis vehicles is desirable but not essential.
*Ability to use your own initiative
*Being mechanically minded is essential
*Ability to work under pressure

Temporary TIG Welder

We are currently working with a market leading designer, manufacturer and fabricator of a variety of mild and stainless steel products for projects across the South East.

Due to levels of work, they are currently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their business on an ongoing temporary basis.

Responsibilities will include:
*Sheet metal work and fabrication in various metals.
*TIG welding.
*Working to deadlines.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
*TIG welding experience to a high standard.
*Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Hours will be Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm and an hourly rate of £13 depending on experience.

Gate Automation Engineer

We are working with a leader in the security sector who is looking for an experienced Gate Automation Engineer. The role will be based around the South East, in particular London, installing and maintaining Gate Automation technology for mostly schools and colleges as well as commercial units.
If you live in the M25 corridor but are happy working remotely with occasional trips to the head office (near Sidcup) to collect equipment and tools then this may be the right role for you. The areas you will cover are London, Kent, Essex, Surrey and Sussex.
Duties include:
*Installation of gate automation
*Maintenance and serving of automation equipment
*Interacting with customers and delivering first class customer service
*Work closely with the sales and service departments
Experience
*Must have at least two years relevant installation/maintenance experience within gate automation
*Full drivers licence
*CSCS card is desirable
*Health and safety knowledge

The hours for this role are 6am to 4.30pm, with a half hour lunch, with excellent benefits including overtime paid at a time and a third, a fully equipped van and full range tools, as well as an excellent salary up to £36,000 (depending on experience).

The Lead Product Development Engineer position will be mainly focused on leading the development of the company’s core commercial vehicle safety and efficiency product range with a strong bias toward electronic engineering.

This position will be predominantly working at product level and require a good understanding of requirements, development & capture, electronic & mechanical architecture and design, software & hardware interaction, product verification and validation.

As part of the Engineering team the successful candidate will also be required to support the Application team in the test and development of current products customised to support the application specific requirements of our customers and markets.

To enhance the competencies of the team the applicant will require experience and knowledge of automotive electronics design standards and quality control principles which are key in ensuring the product quality standards are exceeded.

Requirements
*Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics product development or similar.
*5-6 GCSE’s at Grade B or above including Maths, Science (Physics) and English.
*Minimum 8 years practical experience with electronics and mechanical product development.
*Extensive knowledge of analogue and digital electronics including micro processing, DSP, video signal processing.
*Knowledge of camera, optics, acoustics, LCD’s and digital recording technology’s
*Knowledgeable of modern automotive electronic architecture, multiplex communication protocols and systems.
*Computer application skills: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, MCAD & ECAD & PCB development tools, Electronic circuit simulation programs
*Genuine interest in modern technology preferably with in the automotive industry.
*Optical knowledge and image processing and recognition using CCD, CMOS, IR and related technologies
*Video and audio signal and processing e.g. composite video, RGB, digital formats
*Analogue and digital circuit design and development, including micro processing and digital signal processing
*Software & hardware interface and software engineering
*Digital communication protocol e.g. I2C, SPI, RS232 etc / Signal processing
*PCB level troubleshooting and product fault finding
*LCD interface and panel design
*Hard Disk Drive, solid state drive and flash memory
*Implement design for manufacturing
*Lean manufacturing techniques helping our supplier base develop efficiencies

Maintenance Engineer

Our clients require an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer to bolster their current team of engineers within an expanding specialist metal manufacturer.
Key objectives are:

Dealing with breakdowns – fault finding both electrical & mechanical issues.

Routine, regular preventative maintenance (oil changes/water dosing/filters etc)
Maintaining/ repairing machinery on site including deep drawing presses/ hydrogen atmosphere retort furnaces/ vacuum furnaces.
Keeping production equipment going.

Essential skills:

* Some experience with vacuum/electric powered furnaces in a production environment.
* Experience of pneumatic operated presses.
* Experience of pumps/motors/compressors.
* IT Proficient (experience of Excel/Word/).
* Good organizational skills (multi-tasker)
* Team player with good communication skills, able to establish and maintain effective contact with staff and key suppliers/contractors.

Desirable skills:

* Previous experience of TPM.

About the Role – Sheet Metal Worker:

* The successful candidate will work with bending, forming, finishing and fabricating metal in accordance with customer orders
* Occasionally, you may also be involved in spot welding in the creation of bespoke metal products
* Your duties will include ensuring the parts you are producing reflect the order and are created to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following duties:

* The successful candidate must have a good understanding of pattern development and should be capable of hand finishing to a high standard.
* Forming, bending and rolling in various gauges ranging from 0.35mm to 5mm.

Required Skills/Experience:

* You must have a working knowledge of fine limit sheet metal and be experienced in sheet metal processes including fabrication and sheet metal assemblies combining fabricated and machined components
* You must be competent at general Sheet Metal duties including deburring, drilling and spot welding
* TIG welding experience would also be beneficial although this is not essential.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has programmed, set and operated some of the following machines:

* LVD CNC press brake
* LVD Laser
* CNC punch press
* Power Guillotines

Job Description:

Metallurgist role to support the production and technical teams.

The role will include overseeing and reviewing existing heat treatment processes to ensure the continued manufacture of high-quality compliant products. The candidate will be expected to help in the development of manufacturing processes and in material analysis and optimisation. The role will require communication with customers to provide technical support, which can additionally involve site visits, and will call for the flexibility and self-motivation required to work in a dynamic SME.

Requirements:

* Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science
* Experience in an industrial environment would be an advantage
* Technical documentation skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills, including liaising with customers
* Ability to work independently

Desirable:

* Knowledge of NiFe alloys would be an advantage
* Experience in non-destructive analysis techniques (i.e. X-ray, microstructure interpretation, etc)
* Previous experience with metal heat treatments

The successful candidate will be tasked with the full design process for new products from concept designs to detailed manufacturing drawings, material specification/selection and manufacturing strategy for bespoke metal products.

Key Tasks/Objectives

* Managing end to end design projects
* Design 3D models for bespoke products for customers worldwide
* Client/sales team liaison to identify design requirements
* Produce detailed engineering/manufacturing drawings
* Specification and creation of associated BOM’s

Responsibilities:All aspects of design for company products

Essential Skills:

* Hold a relevant engineering degree relating to mechanical design engineering
* Strong experience using 3D CAD software (Ideally Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks)
* Strong all-round design capabilities – concept design, 2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and designing for manufacture
* The ability to produce complex assemblies to ensure fitment to tight tolerances
* Proficient in IT skills and use of ERP systems
* Project management skills

Desirable Skills:

* Experience of RADAN CAM software
* Experience of InventorCAM software
* Experience of working with precision sheet metal products
