Programme Manager / Product Development

This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to gain further experience working for a leading manufacturer in East Kent.

As the Programme Manager you will be reporting into the Engineering Manager and working in close collaboration with the Product Management Team.

As the Programme Manager you will be responsible for delivering best in class fire detection and alarm products for the company’s internal and external customers.

Some of the role responsibilities:

– You will be responsible for Programme Management at strategic programmes for the Business Unit and cross-functional business processes
– You will lead and coordinate all development activities of all Product Development projects (new product development and sustaining engineering)using industry best practices
– You will be required to coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the on time, within scope and within budget execution of the project

Requirements:

– 5 years prior experience working as a Programme / Project Manager in a multicultural environment
– An Engineering degree or equivalent through industry experience
– Capable of working with different cultures in remote locations and willing to travel.

Automotive Engineer

*Automotive electrical experience or Auto electrical qualifications of 12VDC or 24VDC systems of 2 years minimum.
*Needs to have HGV/LGV/VAN experience, and is passionate with working with the vehicles.
*Experience with working with a wide range of commercial vehicles advantage (construction, commercial haulage, bus & coach, emergency response etc.)
*Good customer services skills are essential with daily client interaction.
*Understanding of intermediate/advanced automotive electronics components.
*Good logical and fault-finding techniques with the ability to work independently and to timelines.
*Experienced in the use of electrical automotive testing/installation equipment.
*IT/PC Literate.
*A conscientious professional who is organised and dedicated with a desire to work in a team to meet high standards and deadlines.
*Must have a full driving UK license (clean preferred).
Preferable
*Ideal location, Kent, Essex, Luton, or within the M25.
*Relevant auto electrician qualification advantage (NVQ, City and Guilds etc.)
Duties
*Traveling to various client sites / liaising with clients on site.
*Installation of vehicle camera / vehicle CCTV equipment.
*Installation of blindspot detection systems (warning alarms, blindspot / parking sensors).
*Attending service calls to fault diagnosis and repair where necessary.
*Assisting the Development Team in testing and rolling out new technologies.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Workshop Manager to join their team based in Horley, Surrey.

The Workshop Manager will be responsible for operational management ensuring work is distributed to technicians and products are delivered accordingly on a day to day basis.

The ideal candidate for the Workshop Manager role will be able to demonstrate:

Knowledge of vacuum furnace equipment, Tool Steel, MuMetal to ensure the continued manufacture of high-quality compliant products.
Previous experience in a production leadership role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in loading/programming furnaces.
Previous experience with metal heat treatments.
Computer literate.
Knowledge of metallurgy and engineering would be advantageous.

Fire and Security Engineer

Looking to recruit an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join a growing NSI Gold/BAFE accredited team.

A growing company who provide electronic security in the domestic and commercial sector throughout London and the South East.

You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within the Intruder, CCTV and Access Control Industry, to NSI standard, as well as Fire Alarms to BAFE.

Gate Automation knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

– Installations of all systems
– Confident in supporting clients with technical phone support
– Servicing Intruder alarms
– Servicing CCTV
– Servicing Access control
– Servicing Fire alarm systems to a BAFE level
– Working to NSI/SSAIB level
– Fault finding
– Working within a team and independently
– Must be able to commission intruder alarms independently and have done so (Redcare or Dual Com), in the last 12 months to an ARC with Police Response

Essentials:

– Minimum of 3 years experience in the Fire and Security Industry
– Full UK Driving Licence
– Be able to pass a full 10-year security screening and enhanced DBS check
– Be willing to work flexible hours at short notice in order to serve our customers
– Be happy and able to do early starts, some evenings and weekends
– Ideally, live a maximum of 45 minutes from West Malling
