KHR Recruitment is currently looking for a Field Service Operative to join an industry-leading, business in the Peterborough area.

The Field Service Operative will be primarily responsible for travelling to different customer sites and the on-going service & maintenance of various retail equipment, working under their own steam and supported by mobile engineers during peak times.

The work will involve fitting & stripping components, welding and testing.

You will also be required to:
– Use a company-provided smartphone to scan and record working activity
– Complete job reports, time-sheets and relevant documentation
– Drive a purpose-designed vehicle
– Liaise with Head Office on a regular basis

You must have:
– Previous experience in a similar role including MIG welding experience
– Have a full driving license with 3.5 entitlement
– Be customer focused & able to liaise with people from all levels within a business

CNC Machine Operator

I am currently assisting a bespoke manufacturer based on the outskirts of Maidstone, who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Machine Operator.

Role & Responsibilities

The CNC Machine Operator will work in the tool-room department operating the CNC controlled lathes and two mills.

A majority of the components generated are designed in-house and will require you to use the 3D model to generate machining codes with inventor CAM software.

Candidate Profile

– CNC machining operating experience
– Knowledge of Hardening controllers
– Experience of the Inventor CAM software package
– Able to produce small and complex batches of components to a high standard
– Read and interpret engineering drawings
– Design and model of fixtures

This is a full-time/permanent position offering between £11.00 – £17.00 per hour.

The hours of work are 08:00am – 17:00pm Monday to Friday.

5-Axis CNC Machine Operator

I am seeking a switched on and motivated individual who has knowledge and a background in CNC Machine Operation. The ideal candidate must have the following:-

– 5 Axis machining experience and knowledge of Heidenhain controllers
– Experience of the Inventor CAM software package
– Be comfortable and confident in using the machine based on previous experience with similar models
– Able to produce small and complex batches of components to a high standard
– Read and work from Engineer drawings
– Design and model of fixtures
– Set and operate CNC 5 Axis Machinery

You must have impeccable attention to detail and excellent timekeeping skills.

This is a full-time/permanent position offering a generous salary depending on experience.

The hours are 08:00 – 17:00 (Monday to Friday). This includes a half an hour lunch with a 10-minute break either side of your lunch.

The ideal candidate will have vast experience of maintenance, servicing, wiring and fault finding on CCTV/access control as well as the ability to deliver first class customer service when interacting with customers.

TIG Welder

We are currently working with a leading specialist fabrication company based in rural Maidstone.

Due to growth, they are currently seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join their friendly and sociable team.

The TIG Welder will be responsible for:

Welding sheet metal of gauges 1mm-5mm (majority between 1.2mm-1.5mm), to tolerances. Materials being welded are Mu-metal, stainless steel and sometimes aluminium.
You will be expected to utilise your skills in creating bespoke metal products for the customer in accordance with their order.
An ability to work to a high standard and a high level of accuracy to create a clean finish will be a must from the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

The ability to read and work from engineering drawings, be a team player and be able to work to tight deadlines.
Knowledge of other fine limit sheet metal work would be an advantage but is not essential.
You will be expected to utilise your skills in creating bespoke metal products for the customer in accordance with their order.
An ability to work to a high standard and a high level of accuracy to create a clean finish will be a must from the successful candidate.
Working with a combination of fabricated and machined components.
Minimum of 2 year’s experience in TIG welding.

Hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with 50 minutes’ break per day.

– Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, Company policy and Company procedures

– Support other teams and functions as required by your line manager
