Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their established team. This role would suit a school leaver with an interest in Science or someone with some lab experience looking to develop a career. There is the potential for this role to be an Apprenticeship.

The Lab Technician will support the day to day laboratory function of Quality Control. Completing daily tasks identified by the Quality Control Analyst, to ensure ongoing product quality and adherence to ISO accreditations and the internal Quality Management Systems:

Work safely in the lab
Understand and follow quality procedures
Gain understanding in food safety manufacturing
Prepare lab tasks
Produce reliable and accurate data
Analyse data
Perform stock checks

QC/Lab Analyst

We are currently working with a leading FMCG business based in Paddock Wood.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a QC/Lab Analyst to join their established team.

The QC/Lab Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing product quality and adherence to ISO accreditations and the internal Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities will include:

Analysis of samples using analytical chemistry test methodologies
Investigation of non-conforming samples, data evaluation and reporting
Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures for use of laboratory equipment procedures and investigation protocols
Testing raw materials and finished goods as part of Goods In/Out product release
Trending of results and statistical analysis of incoming goods
Update maintenance log for cleaning and servicing of equipment
Update company technical documentation including QC SOP’s and records
Maintain own training record for laboratory, regulatory compliance and Health & Safety
Check and report stock levels
Maintain all QC laboratory equipment as per maintenance schedule

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful background within a lab based QC role. Knowledge of the food/FMCG sector would be advantageous along with knowledge of HACCP, BRC and SOP’s.

Assistant QA Manager – Fresh Produce

Our client is a leading distributor of fresh produce across the UK. Having been established for multiple years, they are showing rapid growth even during the current climate. Due to this success, they are now seeking an experienced Assistant QA Manager to join their team based near Sittingbourne.

The Assistant QA Manager will lead, engage and develop the quality team including intake, production and distribution. They will also be responsible for ensuring products arriving on site are checked and meet customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

Effectively and proactively manage and develop the site QC teams ensuring cross functional cover.
Ensure that continuous improvement/best practice as well as effective team working is a priority for all.
Oversee and arrange Quality meetings.
Ensure all products meet food safety, legal, quality and customer requirements.
Ensure that the site meets its Quality Service Level (QSL) targets.
Ensure the site is audit ready at all times.
Have input into creating/reviewing factory based technical procedures.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

HACCP, auditing and food safety qualifications are advantageous.
Experience of managing a team and supporting and developing direct reports.
Knowledge of the fresh produce sector
At least 2 years’ previous experience in a Quality management role (eg. at QA Supervisor level or above).

Duties
*Procure all packaging components from suppliers
*Record order information on a computerised system
*Provide forecasting information to suppliers
*Reconcile invoices against orders placed and prepare for payment within agreed deadlines
*Responsible for meeting audit deadlines as per the guidelines from the clients
*Provide telephone support to business – including some out of hours support.
*Design and format accurate label/film overprint designs on the in-house systems.
*Invoice goods received by suppliers in a timely fashion
*Obtain proof of delivery documentation for invoice disputes
*Assist in stock counts as required
*Arrange and record stock transfers between sites and credit/debit the correct accounts accordingly

Requirements
* Experience working within an FMCG business
* Prior experience working in a packaging co-ordination position
* Good at managing relationships with clients, suppliers, internal stakeholders and 3rd party agents
* Good at multi-tasking and prioritising
* Keen eye for detail
* Used to working to strict deadlines
* Due to location a driver would be preferred

This role is a full-time permanent position. Monday – Friday

Supply Chain Coordinator – Fresh Produce

We are currently working with a leading Fresh Produce business based near Maidstone.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their established team.

The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for:

Monitoring post-delivery and any issues arising from completed Customer orders
Liaising with all areas of the business
Liaising and building relationships with external parties including hauliers and
other suppliers
Collating data related to Customer orders
Supporting Trading Managers and Procurement
Collation and management of forecasts
Allocate and Process relevant customer orders throughout the day
Distribute and communicate haulage detail and amendments
Maintain relevant customer programmes and order requirements
Post-delivery administration

The ideal candidate will have:

Knowledge of Industry Systems including Import Duty, Quotas, Intrastat and
CFSP etc advantageous but not essential
Previous administration & sales office experience required, ideally from an FMCG or fresh produce background
Positive, outgoing & friendly personality
Good mind for mathematical problems & logical thinking
Methodical approach
Ability to work systematically with a keen eye for detail
Good computer skills (Microsoft products mainly – Prophet experience an
advantage)
Ability to work alone, using own initiative and as part of a team as required
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, planning time & priorities
Willingness to work unsocial hours & including Weekend’s and Bank Holidays where required

The role operates on a shift pattern, hours will be Monday to Friday split start times on a rota 6.30am to 3.30pm and 8am to 5pm. Saturday and Sunday (you will get 2 days back in lieu) 6.30am to 3.30pm. On call rota is also in place 7 days a week up to 9pm.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Packaging Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Packaging Manager will have overall responsibility for the procurement, scheduling, storage and issue of all packaging materials on site.

Responsibilities will include:

Manage a team of buyers to place orders and call off with suppliers, open purchase orders on the ERP system and hire and de-hire of trays and pallets.

Liaise with suppliers and deal with ongoing communications.

Update and maintain BRC records relating to packaging materials.

Take responsibility for the stock management and placing of orders for replenishment of sundry items.

Update and prepare stock reports.

Direct responsibility for packaging procurement and packaging issues.

ERP Business System superuser for stock management systems and process accuracy.

Conduct tenders where appropriate to ensure supplier agreements remain competitive.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Previous procurement, administration and packaging experience.
Fresh produce knowledge.
Experience using Prophet ERP system.
Ability to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment.
