We are working with a leading FMCG business who are seeking an experienced Head of Category and Insight to join their team.

Based in the rural Kent countryside just South of Maidstone you could join this leading client who has been operational for over 40 years and have a significant market share in the UK.

As the Head of Category and Insight, you will drive the company’s engagement and influence with the retail trade by leveraging key shopper and category insights to deliver sustainable business and category growth. You will be a thought leader both internally and externally, be the voice of the shopper and consumer and drive shopper-centric action plans focused on creating category growth.

This is a Leadership and there is scope to make a significant impact on the businesses. We are therefore looking for someone who is a strategic thinker, action-oriented, able to make decisions and has a proven track record of delivering results.

Duties
*Assistant to The Commercial Director
*Support to projects and collaborating with marketing to shape brand strategy and manage the portfolio and future product development.
*Management of the insight budget and data agencies
*Leadership and development of the category and insight function and team members
*Partnering with marketing to implement a research and learning plan to drive greater understanding of shoppers and consumers
*Support the achievement of the businesses commercial goals and provide the team with clarity on the opportunities and threats
*Guide suppliers and board on profitable and sustainable directions.
*Build strong relationships with customers across all relevant functions.
*Use this influence to leverage wins for the business for distribution/space/range in selected retailers.
*Develop and embed a multi-channel category vision within the business and the customers.
*Drive decision making through the provision of timely, to the point and credible insight.

Assistant QA Manager – FMCG

Our client is a leading distributor of fresh produce across the UK. Having been established for multiple years, they are showing rapid growth even during the current climate. Due to this success, they are now seeking an experienced Assistant QA Manager to join their team based in Maidstone.

The Assistant QA Manager will lead, engage and develop the quality team including intake, production and distribution. They will also be responsible for ensuring products arriving on site are checked and meet customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

Effectively and proactively manage and develop the site QC teams ensuring cross functional cover.
Ensure that continuous improvement/best practice as well as effective team working is a priority for all.
Oversee and arrange Quality meetings.
Ensure all products meet food safety, legal, quality and customer requirements.
Ensure that the site meets its Quality Service Level (QSL) targets.
Ensure the site is audit ready at all times.
Have input into creating/reviewing factory based technical procedures.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

HACCP, auditing and food safety qualifications are advantageous.
Experience of managing a team and supporting and developing direct reports.
Knowledge of the fresh produce sector
At least 2 years’ previous experience in a Quality management role (eg. at QA Supervisor level or above).

Agronomist

Agronomist

We are working with a leading FMCG business who are seeking and Agronomist to work in the Dundee area. This position will be to promote agronomic best practice in order that the grower members may become the most technically competent, profitable and aware in the UK industry.

Duties
*Undertake regular visits to members’ farms to a schedule agreed with each individual member prior to the commencement of each season.
*To assist in the provision of agronomic support required by each member selected from the Advisory Service menu:
oPerformance and production benchmarking
oCrop production planning
oFertiliser and Fertigation recommendations
oEnvironmental management recommendations
oCrop Husbandry recommendations
oFlower mapping interpretation
oLabour profiling
oSupporting research programmes
oIrrigation recommendations
oPest and disease monitoring and control recommendations
oPlant health testing
oSubstrate analysis and management recommendations
oTaking soil or substrate, plant, leaf or sap samples and providing interpretation and advice from the analysis results returned or plant clinic report.
*The above should be recorded and advised in a manner agreed upon by the grower and all remedial applications recommended using the Farmade GateKeeper software provided.
*To write weekly technical notes for inclusion in a regular in house bulletin, circulated to all grower members via the Extranet website. This should cover the most relevant current cultural topics for crops, highlighting particular areas of attention in that relevant period.
*To take part in farm walks, meetings and any other such events held to support members and information sharing.

Experience
*Experience as an Agronomist
*Have gained full accreditation and qualification in BASIS and FACTS certification schemes
*Happy to travel within a 30-mile radius of Dundee
*Skilled at managing relationships with Growers
*Full driving licence and own transport

Demand Planner – FMCG

We are currently working with a leading National FMCG business based near Maidstone.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join their established team and report directly into the Demand Planning Manager.

The Demand Planner will be responsible for the following:

Owning the demand planning process for a category across multiple planning horizons.
Translating the commercial forecast across all time horizons into an actionable demand plan.
Tracking the performance of retailers across the agreed supply plan and driving continued accuracy and improvements.
Highlighting risks and opportunities to the Supply Planning Team.
Analysing Demand Planning variations to forecast/plan.
Assisting in the delivery of industry leading customer service levels and minimising product waste through proactive customer and supplier engagement.
Enhancing forecasting capabilities and accuracy, building relationships with key internal customers.
Providing a clear view of potential shortage and surplus there may be against current demand plans.
Work closely with Supply Planning and Procurement teams.
Creations of a demand plan working primarily with retailers.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience working in a Demand Planning role.
Experience within the FMCG sector is preferable.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal relations skills.
Highly developed influencing and collaboration and facilitation skills.
Excellent analytical skills and confidence to work with numbers.
Knowledge of ERP and forecasting systems.
