HNW New Business Underwriter

A reputable Insurance firm are currently seeking an experienced New Business Underwriter to join their well established HNW team.

This is the ideal full-time position for an individual that has obtained, or is working towards their CII or ACII to join a large, multi-site insurer at their office in Kings Hill.

The successful individual will be underwriting new, and existing personal property and motor policies; with a emphasis on finding and developing new business.

The key aim of the HNW New Business Underwriter is to help to develop and maintain excellent broker relationships in order to promote the profitable growth of accounts.

Role

*To provide new business quotations
*To prospect and actively contribute to the growth/retention targets of the HNW department
*Have a full understanding of individual risk and be able to translate these factors to potential
policyholders
*Repeatedly handle mid & high net worth cases in accordance with company guidelines/risk appetite and within
limits of authority
*To work on specific projects and/or training for others as and when required
*To manage own portfolio
*Ensure an excellent working knowledge of the products, procedures, underwriting guides
*Act as a point of referral for junior members of the team
*Make sure that you treat all our customers with the principles of Treating Customers Fairly
*Be aware of threats to the organisation and customers
*Taking the appropriate action to minimise the impact of risks to the business

Candidate Profile

*Cert CII or working towards CII Qualifications
* New business underwriting experience
* Personal lines insurance
* Confident and clear communication skills
* Up to date knowledge of laws and legislation

On Offer

£24,000pa

Bonus potential, on-site parking, 20 days holiday, pension contribution, subsided canteen area.

Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Actuarial Analyst

Are you an actuarial analyst looking for a new opportunity? Do you have experience of Solvency II, Pillars I, II and III?

Our client, in Tunbridge Wells, is looking for an Actuarial Analyst to support the actuarial function in their reporting deadlines. The right candidate will have great communication skills, be highly numerate and have excellent MS Excel abilities.

Main Responsibilities include:
– Producing and enhancing spreadsheet models used in the Actuarial departments
– Support projection work
– Propose and make changes
– Writing specs for model changes by looking at regulations
– communicating verbally and through drafting high-level written reports for senior stakeholders

The right candidate will have:
-Understanding of the work carried out by a UK life assurer actuarial department
– High level of numeracy
-ORSA or modelling experience
– Demonstrable experience of using MS Excel at a high level
– Confidence in proposing solutions but also requesting support where needed
– Good report writing skills
– The ability to handle multiple tasks

Desirable Competencies include:

– Knowledge of life insurance products
– Experience of working in an office environment
– Knowledge of Solvency II , Pillars I, II and III
– Knowledge of Actuarial Modelling systems and /or financial projections
– Studying towards the FIA qualification

Customer Service Advisor – 6-month contract

Do you have the ability to provide top quality customer service to clients? Do you consider yourself to be a strong communicator?

A well-known insurance firm based in Kings Hill requires experienced, customer service call handlers with ideally a claims/insurance or veterinary background to work in their Pet protection team for a minimum of 6 months, potentially permanent.

ROLE

The role of the Claims Assistant is to liaise with policyholders regarding their pet insurance, and assisting them with making a claim.

On a day to day basis you will be:

– Answering incoming calls from policyholders looking to make a claim
– Providing customers with information regarding their level of cover
– Sending documents
– Using and updating the in-house system

CANDIDATE

– Strong Communicator – verbally and written
– IT literate
– Call handling experience
– Claims/ insurance or veterinary background
– 5 GCSE’s C or above

HOURS

Working hours for the claims handler are Monday – Friday 9.00am – 17.15pm

6-month contract – with the potential to become permanent

SALARY

£16,500
