Job Role
The technician’s primary role will be based out of their site near Redhill and will be to work on the manufacture of thermowells which will include setting and operating of manual machinery. They are also required to work in the combined production department producing and repairing the complete range of products offered by the business.

*The manufacturing of thermowells which will consist of setting, operating and producing components using a manual lathe.
*Carry out preparation of materials and kit picking prior to manufacture.
*Testing and inspection of finished product. Followed by generation of appropriate certification such as 3.1 certs, calibration and hydro test reports.
*To monitor agreed delivery dates of all work and to communicate to the line manager any issues which may affect the completion of work by this date.

Candidate Specification
*Must have a minimum of 3 years mechanical assembly/workshop experience.
*Have full competence of working with machine tools such as band saws, lathes and hand tools.
*Ideally have worked in an ISO 9000 accredited environment.
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
*Must have a pro-active, can-do attitude & work well as part of a team.
*Must be able to offer a good degree of flexibility where workload permits.
*Literate with effective communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate confidently.
*Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
*Must be able to effectively organise, prioritise and manage workloads.

Working Hours: 37.5 per week
Hours of Work: 08.00am – 16.15pm Mon – Thurs / 08.00am – 15:50 Fri (40 mins for lunch)
Pay rates dependent on experience: £12-17PH

Forklift Driver

Our client is looking for an experienced Fork Lift Driver to join their friendly, hard working team on a temporary basis for the next 2 months.

– Must have counterbalance experience
– Happy to do general warehouse as well as forklift work

Furnace Operator

Due to continued growth and expansion, our clients are now currently recruiting for a Furnace Operator to work from their facility based near Paddock Wood in Kent.

Furnace Operator – Job Summary:

A hands-on role within the furnace department, providing additional support & a back up to the department supervisor. Main duties will involve loading & operating all the heat treatment furnaces on site, and in particular their two new vacuum furnaces.

Key Tasks/Objectives of this role:

* Operate all furnaces; ensure correct procedures & specifications are followed.
* Quality check all furnace cycles.
* Aiding the supervisor in organizing workloads for 2 furnace loading operators.
* Log any malfunctions with the maintenance dept.

Furnace Operator – Responsibilities:

* 8 Heat Treatment Furnaces
* 2 Furnace Loading Operators

Essential Skills:

* Some experience with vacuum/gas fired furnaces in a production environment.
* IT Proficient (experience of Excel/Word/).
* Good organizational skills (multi-tasker)
* Team player
* Willingness to learn.
* Hands-On Role – must be capable of loading/unloading/being on their feet all day.

Desirable Skills:

* Metallurgy background or experience.
* Vacuum Furnace Experience.
