Quality Controller – Fresh Produce – Night Shift

We are currently working with a leading FMCG distributor, based in Sittingbourne.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Quality Controller to ensure all produce dispatched meets all customer requirements of safety, quality, and legality.

The Quality Controller will be responsible for:

Ensuring all product packaging and detail meets or exceeds the customer’s legal standards
Maintain an understanding of each customers labelling and packaging specifications
Continually monitor labelling and packaging standards of the packed product
Ensure accuracy of date coding, barcoding, and all other pack and outer case labels information is correct
Ensure all associated promotional detail, ribbon and any other form of additional pack information is correct
Ensure that the correct packaging is being used as per customer requirements
Responsible for raw material checks
Responsible for collecting shelf life samples
Set up quality standards on the line before production starts
To work safely and report any hazards or near misses to the Line Leader or Shift Production Manager
To maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene and housekeeping to BRC and HACCP Food Standards at all times

The Quality Controller will be able to demonstrate:

Experience working in a temperature-controlled environment
Experience working in a packhouse/production environment
Knowledge of fresh produce standards
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to work as a team and do repetitive work
Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines

My client is a bespoke designer and manufacturer of specialist metal-based products. The Quality Technician will work closely with the Quality team, reviewing quality processes and implementing improvements where required.

Role & Responsibilities of the Quality Technician

– Work closely with Engineers to ensure products are inspected before the deadline
– In-process inspection of parts and components
– Maintain all quality records
– Calibration of measuring equipment
– Assisting with ISO9001 management system duties
– Assist the quality team to ensure suppliers and other third parties meet quality specifications

Candidate Profile

– Experience using measuring equipment
– Manufacturing/ production/ engineering sector exposure
– Sheet metal inspection – preferred
– Experience and understanding of ISO 9001
– Knowledge of engineering/ technical drawings

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Line Leader to work as part of the packing line, leading and developing the packing team to meet quality and packing targets.

Responsibilities of the Line Leader will include:

Machine operation and team coordination
Ensuring the line runs effectively and efficiently
Ensure machines are kept in good working order
Ensure quality service levels are maintained
Maintain a good working relationship with quality control personnel
Minimise and accurately record packaging waste
Ensure production plan is adhered to
Ensure works orders are completed 100% accurately
Ensure any additional costing information is recorded
Maintain CAYG (clean as you go) standards are adhered to
Ensure correct PPE is being worn by all employees on the line
Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience of leading a team of line operatives
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to work as part of a team

– Finding discrepancies and implementing corrective actions
– Assisting with ISO9001 management system duties
– Ensuring suppliers and other third parties meet quality specifications

Candidate Profile

– Quality Management experience
– Manufacturing/ production/ engineering sector exposure
– Sheet metal inspection – preferred
– Experience using FMEA, 8D, AQAP processes
– Experience of PPAP process – Advantageous
– Solid knowledge of engineering drawings

Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Operatives required.

£8.50 per hour.

We are working with several clients who are looking for switched on, organised Warehouse Operatives to become apart of their experienced and expanding teams.

You will be responsible for;

* General Warehouse i.e picking and packing

* Organising documentation for products

* Ensuring proper stock control is maintained

* You will mainly be dealing with returned products that appear faulty/damaged and reporting them to the warehouse manager and administrative team.

* You will provide excellent support and able to work well alone as well as in a team, to ensure that the workflow within the warehouse flows efficiently and safely.
