Do you have a strong quality control background in electro / mechanical engineering? Can you understand and read a variety of technical drawings and electrical schematics?
We are seeking a Quality Inspector for a growing company in Edenbridge. This role involves carrying out in-process and final inspections of electrical components assembled in the workshop. You will be required to test the products and ensure they meet customer requirements and quality standards.
Duties of the role include:
-Checking electrical assembly work like crimping, soldering, torque tightening etc.
-Checking tools are in a good state of repair and fit for use.
-Final checks of manufactured products
-Electrical testing using ATE, multimeter, megger or other test equipment
-Completing test sheets and Quality control documents
-Programming Automatic Test Equipment and calibrating test equipment
-Recording results in statistical spreadsheets
-Carrying out First Article Inspection and completing a report
-Working with the Quality engineer and other management staff on other Quality Inspection projects
This role would suit someone who has good working knowledge of standard practices, procedures and protocols in this industry. this would suit someone with an analytical mind and a head for numbers.
The ideal candidate will have:
– A background in an electro/mechanical manufacturing environment.
-The ability to read and understand a variety of technical data, including general assembly drawings, wiring schedules, technical specifications and procedures.
-Experience in the use of electrical test equipment e.g. Digital Volt Meter, Insulation tester, Low Ohm meter, High Voltage tester and power supplies.
-General IT skills.
-Good communication skills and good standard of written and spoken English.
-Strong Metrology skills
– Strong Electrical testing and ATE skills
– Familiarity with auditing procedures
-Knowledge of ISO 9000 and/or AS9100
