We are working with a leading manufacturer who has an impressive and innovative product range who are currently looking for an Electronics Engineer. The role will sit within one of the newer divisions that currently use subcontractors for a lot of product development. They now want to bring as much of this in-house as possible whilst still using sub-contractors for appropriate skills as and when.

This is a great opportunity for your to work on the development of new and existing products.

Responsibilities include:
Overseeing the software development for the control system

Ensuring that product designs meet international type approvals.

Creating manuals for new products that are designed.

Being involved in component procurement at the development stage (ie selecting the best/ideal components for new products).

Helping the sales team with technical presentations and using cad were required to plot the products onto existing customer drawings.

Creating electrical drawings if required

Developing a full technical understanding of all products we sell, how they work, how they integrate into projects) Working directly with customers to support their projects

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience
Experience with CAD
Good understanding of prototyping on 3D printers
Educated to a minimum of Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering – Leading Electronics Assembly (QCF)
Experience using and Interpreting Engineering Data and Documentation
Experience assembling and Wiring Electronic Equipment and Systems
Selecting and Preparing Materials and Components for Manufacturing
Able to Produce Mechanical Engineering Drawings Using a CAD Systems
Capable of Mechanical Assemblies
Experience Wiring and Testing Electrical Equipment and Circuits
Assembling and Testing Electronic Circuits
Wiring and Testing Programmable Controller Based Systems
Producing CAD Models/Drawings Using a CAD System
Producing Engineering Project Plans

Production Manager – Publishing

We are currently working with a leading Kent based media/publishing company.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Production Manager to join their team based in Ashford.

Reporting directly to the MD, the Production Manager will be responsible for a team of 3.
The team will be responsible for the advertising production and some advertising design for all magazine titles looked after by the business. You will run the whole process from copy chasing, copy setting and ensuring all deadlines are met.

The Production Manager will be responsible for:

Work with the production team to ensure all copy is chased and deadlines are met for a busy sales team.
Liaise with clients to chase advertising copy, by phone and email and update relevant databases.
Check advertising copy thoroughly.
Amend and design artwork for clients.
Proof and check pages before going to press.
Ensure all pages are sent to press correctly.
Liaise with sales, printers and repro on a portfolio of magazines.
Ensure schedules are managed and met, accommodating changes if necessary.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar production role.
Experience in workflows.
Experience of working in a highly pressurised, fast-paced environment.
Experience of Indesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
Knowledge of both Macs and PC’s are essential.

Our client based in Ashford, who have been operational for nearly 20 years, are looking for an additional member to join their tax team due to an increase in clients.

Initially remote working, they will be looking for an individual who can be office based moving forward.

Duties
*Managing an allocation of approximately 200 clients’ personal tax cases and trusts.
*Preparation and submission of Tax Returns in time to meet HMRC deadlines and avoid any late filing penalties.
*Meeting, Zooming, and corresponding with clients as required to manage the portfolio.
*Tax planning exercises and offering advice.
*Corresponding with HMRC and clients to deal with any Revenue correspondence, enquiries and appeals.
*Dealing with initial client contact to provide guidance and advice to effectively engage them as a client.
*Providing assistance to, and working with, other members of the team to ensure a proactive working environment.
*Reviewing 1/3 of the tax juniors work.
*Providing assistance and training to junior members of staff as required.
*General admin duties – invoicing, filing etc.
*Registering clients for self-assessment.
*Prepare Sole Trader and Partnership accounts as required for Tax Returns.

The ideal candidate will be:
* Highly motivated self-starter who wants to succeed personally and in business
* Able to work independently and manage your own clients and manage your own diary
* Ideally holds a CTA qualification, but will also consider ACCA or ACA.
* A solid background within a practice
* Have a significant part of their career focused on tax
* Developed up through grassroots and be hands-on
* Confident with a diverse group of clients
* Capable of providing consultancy and value-added advice to clients
* Help build the business from new and existing relationships

We are currently working with a leading Kent-based media/publishing company.
Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Publishing Copy Controller & Design Executive to join their team based in Ashford.

The role requires excellent time management and organisation, good interpersonal skills and would appeal to a University graduate with design skills wanting to start a career in publishing.

Reporting to (and working closely with) the Production & Design Manager, you will be part of a busy production and design department within a close and dedicated team.

Responsibilities – You will look after the copy chasing and ensure deadlines are met working within the time frames set by your Manager. Working across a portfolio of magazines and digital publications, you should be able to manage multiple projects from outset to completion with an eye for detail and meeting set deadlines.

* Work with a production team assisting the Production & Design Manager to ensure all copy is chased and all deadlines are met for a busy publishing house.
* Liaise with clients to chase advertising copy, by phone and email and update database.
* Check advertising copy thoroughly.
* Proof and check pages before going to press.
* Ensure schedules are managed and met, accommodating changes to schedules if necessary.
* Work within a small but dynamic team to produce magazines from outset to completion.
* Have an excellent telephone manner.

Candidate Profile –
* Excellent English written and verbal skills
* Must be able to work in a highly-pressurised, fast paced environment
* Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
* Experience with Indesign and Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
* Knowledge of both Macs and PCs
* Ability to prioritise, organise workload, manage multiple tasks and problem solve concurrently
* Ability to stay calm under pressure
