Graduate Systems Administrator

A forward-thinking Graduate Systems Administrator is needed to join a young and dynamic company based in the heart of Canterbury.

Reporting to the Technical Lead working and learning in an agile environment, you will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of their growing infrastructure of over 100 servers. You will work with high volume, complex cloud-based and dedicated systems that are located throughout the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Set up and maintenance of servers, including cloud-based, co-hosted and
dedicated servers located throughout the UK and internationally.

The ideal candidate will be results driven, enjoy problem-solving and have the ability to think innovatively.

BSc in Computer Science or related area
Configuration management utilities (salt, puppet)

Virtualisation with Docker/Vagrant

The candidate will be a pivotal member in the Full Stack team helping to further improving current systems and to create new exciting products that they have on their 5-year company goal plan.
Full Stack Developer Duties:
* Working as part of a team to support, maintain and update front and back-end systems
* To work with Lead Developers and other senior team members to deliver new functionality
* To deliver improvements and enhanced capabilities of our existing systems.
* To create customised systems in line with client requirements and specifications
* To build solid relationships with other teams within the company, providing advice and assistance where required
Essential requirements –
x2 years development experience
Front End Development: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Python or any other OO programming language
Loves contributing new ideas
Experience with Databases such as SQL. MySQL, or MontoDB
Good at working together with others in a team
Have good bug-fixing experience working to identify and resolve issues
Be able to build reusable code and libraries for future use

Desirable skills
Linux Proficiency
Experience in Python
BCs in Computer Science or related area
Working with Agile teams, specifically with knowledge of Scrum and Kanban
Knowledge of one or more Client Side JavaScrtip frameworks etc Angular, React, Vue
