General Manager

We are currently recruiting for a fantastic organisation that are seeking to recruit an experienced General Manager reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for the overall management of all commercial and operational activities.

We are seeking a manager with effective people management skills, the ability to lead, motivate and drive productivity forward. You should be approachable, dependable and have the ability to lead from the front!

Responsibilities will include:
*Manage performance of staff in all of these areas through on-going regular dialogue, continuous performance management and the annual appraisal process
*Set performance targets via the managers and supervisors
*Ensure that work is evenly distributed and that all employees are adequately busy.
*Oversee recruitment of new employees for the above departments, arrange induction and training with HR for new and existing employees as necessary
*Stock Control / Purchasing and system implementation
*Overall responsibility for the efficient running of the Warehouse
*Oversee through Production Supervisors the Administration, Picking, Assembly, Packing and Dispatch sub-departments etc.
*Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and welfare at work legislation, ensuring that the company meets all statutory obligations in these areas
*Organise all safety inspections and risk assessments, ensuring that they are managed properly and that employees are aware of their responsibilities
*Oversee through the Quality Manager that procedures comply with relevant Quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001 etc.) and are accurately documented. Ensure all staff adhere to the standards within the scope of their roles
*MS Packages and SAP would be a distinct advantage

*Relevant managerial experience
*Sound communication skills both verbal and written
*Good IT skills and significant experience of CRM ideally SAP
