Restaurant Manager

Our client a large grade II listed hotel based close to Birmingham and which cater for several events throughout the year are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join their team.
It is vital that the new Restaurant Manager is passionate about hospitality and enjoys inspiring team members and is happy to lead and develop a team of like minded employees.
Key responsibilities
*Overall responsibility for all Bars within the hotel
*Supervise your department and assisting employees as required
*To perform Duty Manager function as required
*Monitor team performance and conduct regular appraisals
Customer Services
*To provide exceptional customer service for often large numbers of guests for restaurant, banqueting weddings and events
*Ensure team members understand customer needs and deliver the expected outcomes

Operational management
*To control operating expenses in line with budgets set by the General Manager, particularly payroll and linen
*Develop team programmes that support the organisations business strategy
*Control operating expenses in line with budgets set by the General Manager particularly payroll and linen
*Recommend procedural and profitability improvements
*Ensuring cashing up procedures are following at all times
*Maintain 5* food hygiene rating

Health and Safety

*Ensure staff are informed of and trained in safe practices and procedures in their specific work
*Ensure back of house and preparation areas are maintained and clean
*Use and store chemicals safely and according to relevant COSHH data sheets

Essential skills and experience
*You will have at least 2 years experience managing a team in a restaurant environment
*Experience planning staff rotas
*Strong motivational and empowerment skills
*Strong communication skills

*Able to remain calm under pressure

It is vital that the new F&B Manager is passionate about hospitality and enjoys inspiring team members and is happy to lead and develop a team of like minded employees.

Key responsibilities
*Overall responsibility for all Bars within the hotel
*Managing 7-10 direct full time reports and several agency workers at busy periods
*Supervise your department heads as required
*To perform Duty Manager function as required
*Monitor team performance and conduct regular appraisals
Customer Services
*To provide exceptional customer service for often large numbers of guests for restaurant, banqueting weddings and events
*Ensure team members understand customer needs and deliver the expected outcomes

*Ensure team members understand customer needs and deliver the expected outcomes

Operational management
*To control operating expenses in line with budgets set by the General Manager, particularly payroll and linen
*Ensure all cashing up procedures are followed at all times and all shifts are balanced before being banked
*Foster a customer-focused working environment, with clear responsibilities and expectations for team members.
*Maintain our 5* Food Hygiene rating
*Negotiate with others and resolve conflicts

Health and Safety

*Always fully compliant with Health and Safety legislation and hygiene protocols
*Ensure the safe storage and monitoring of food

*You will have at least 5 year’s experience managing a team within the hospitality industry
*Possess motivational skill
