Production Administrator – Night Shift

We are currently working with a leading fresh produce business based in Sittingbourne.

Due to ongoing growth and success, they are currently seeking an experienced Production Administrator to join their friendly team.

The Production Administrator will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative support service to the production and stock control functions ensuring that all processes and documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner to allow for the efficient operation of the site.

Responsibilities include:

Accurately control and complete production related paperwork across all production lines, and stock movement documentation.
Communicate with Shift Support Supervisor to ensure plans and stock orders are communicated and executed smoothly and on time.
Liaise with Sales team and Planning and Performance Analyst to ensure all orders captured, all jobs set up on correct lines and shift is conforming to plan.
Provide regular Plan Status updates to Production Management Teams.
Responsible for the management of the “Production Quality Alert” process to communicate quality driven production issues internally and with Customer.
To review/reconcile the work order stock information to increase the accuracy of stock, closing works orders by end of each production shift.
Actively liaise with colleagues on a day to day basis on matters relating to stock, work orders, stock errors etc., to allow for decisions to be made “real-time” which will increase the accuracy of stock usage information.
Ensuring that all product is used in the allocated order and scanned to each job correctly and that end stock and out grades are recorded and accounted for.
To review/reconcile the ERP system work order documentation and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
Undertake general ad-hoc administrative duties, as required and as directed by the Shift Production Management Team.
Ensure that all practices and procedures are carried out in accordance with Company Policy and Health & Safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

A good standard of education including Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent
Previous experience of working in a busy office environment
Strong knowledge and understanding of MS Office including Excel and Word
Knowledge and understanding of providing high quality and accurate administrative processes and procedures

Maintenance Support Technician – Engineering

Our client is a leading distributor of fresh produce across the UK. Due to ongoing success, they are now seeking a Maintenance Support Technician to join their team near Sittingbourne on a permanent basis.

The Maintenance Support Technician will be responsible for working as part of the Engineering Team and will support the Shift Maintenance Engineer with some preventative maintenance.

The role is predominantly a deep cleaning role which will involve removing guards and barriers under the supervision of the Shift Engineer and cleaning production machinery.

Responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that the cleaning schedule is adhered to, to minimise the uptime of production machinery so far is reasonably practicable.
To carry out preventative maintenance as directed by Shift Maintenance Engineers.
To carry out tasks with due regard to the cleaning specification and all legislation including Health & Safety and Personal Hygiene.
To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are always used and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Report faulty machinery/equipment immediately.
To use every effort to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and colleagues.
Report all accidents and dangerous occurrences and near misses to your Manager.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Good written and spoken English.
Good dexterity and the ability to use basic hand tools.
Must be self-motivated and can work unsupervised.
Must possess a genuine desire to maintain and clean machinery.

Sales Order Processor – Fresh Produce

We are currently working with a leading fresh produce business based near Sittingbourne.

Due to ongoing growth and success, they are currently seeking a Sales Order Processor to join their friendly team.

The Sales Order Processor will be responsible for ensuring that all processes and documentation are maintained and accurate and that they are completed in a timely manner to allow for the efficient operation of the site.

Responsibilities include:

Transfer daily orders and upload to Prophet system, ensuring all orders have been checked and received correctly, also booking transport where needed.
Take ownership and ensure the accuracy of ancillaries and resources and ensure that these are correct at the end of each week for products that have been assigned.
Allocate stock in rotation sufficient to produce customers next day/same day demand. Ensuring at all times that the third party packers are using the stock allocated.
Ensure that all product is used efficiently and effectively to maximise yields.
Ensure that all necessary information is ready for presentation at the daily operations meetings
Provide information to the customers operations team to facilitate the most efficient distribution solution versus packing requirement.
To be responsible for taking charge of all account based queries in the first instance.
Ensure that the auto-weekend pre-checks have been carried out flagging up any issues to the Production Support Manager, the Finance Manager and the Shift Operations Manager.
To review/reconcile the work order stock information to increase the accuracy of stock.

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

We are currently working with a leading fresh produce business based near Sittingbourne.

Due to ongoing growth and success, they are currently seeking an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their friendly team.

The Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planning, checking, monitoring and carrying out maintenance work and repair of all Company equipment, machinery, and buildings.

Responsibilities include:

Effectively schedule and maintain the Site Preventative Maintenance Programme, and also maintain legality through a programme of statutory inspections, working closely with insurers, as required.
Undertake preventative maintenance/condition monitoring checks as appropriate, to ensure production machinery/equipment is maintained correctly, safely and operates as efficiently as possible.
Ensure that all breakdown and repairs of equipment are carried out as efficiently as possible and keep “down-time/unavailable time” to a minimum.
Ensure that all required production documentation is completed and signed off upon handing the machinery back to production.
Monitor equipment/machinery performance using agreed key performance indicators, and investigate opportunities for improvement as identified.
Ensure all work carried out has the appropriate risk assessment, method statement and work permit is in place prior to work commencing, and all activities comply with H&S and engineering legislation/codes of practice and Company Policy.
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of electro/mechanical packaging machinery.
Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
Carry out for key production employees, training of the production machinery and other site equipment, as required, instilling best practice across the team.
Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs across the site/premises as required.
Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
Inform the Maintenance Manager of any mistreated use of machinery or equipment.
Recommend modifications to improve health and safety or machine/line efficiencies.
Ensure that any malpractice is corrected and any concerns are immediately reported to the Maintenance Manager.
Support and assist in maintaining the required hygiene standards within the Company.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

City & Guilds qualification or equivalent in a mechanical subject
17th Edition electrical qualification
Formal Health & Safety training certificate
Full driving licence
Proven experience of working in a maintenance capacity or related field
Experience of carrying out repairs and maintenance on machinery, equipment and buildings
Working to safe systems and recognising hazards and dangerous practices including undertaking risk assessments and audits
Understanding and experience of quality and HSE systems
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Understanding and ability to carry out general repairs and maintenance
Understanding and ability to use and maintain basic power tools
Sound understanding of COSHH regulations, Fgas qualification and CDM regulations
Understanding and ability to carry out general repairs and maintenance

The Packaging/Label Operative Operative will be responsible for controlling, verifying, printing, issuing and recording labels for production, ensuring the information is accurate in accordance with customer specifications. Maintain appropriate quantities of current stock levels within the packaging issue area.

Responsibilities include:

Move packaging around site using appropriate equipment (i.e. reach truck) and ensure all pallet movements are scanned in and out of location.
Receive packaging deliveries and complete all associated paperwork.
Control the data entry, correct input parameters and verification of labels.
Control the printing, production and issue of labels in accordance with up to date specifications and technical standards.
Produce and maintain clear administrative records regarding the printing, traceability and issuing of labels.
Ensure that the printers and scanners are maintained and available at all times.
Continuously look for ways to improve the business processes of the packaging issue area, and report them to the Packaging Supervisor or Manager.
Issue correct packaging per job requirements.
Record all packaging movements in and out of the issue area.
Ensure all packaging is covered and has traceability labels.
Maintain high levels of Health, Safety, Hygiene, housekeeping and contamination practices and standards in your work area.
Adhere to all relevant customer, industry and legislative standards i.e. British Retail Consortium (BRC), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
Communicate effectively with production and report any non-conformances to a Manager.
