Maintenance Engineer

I am looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing Maintenance Engineer for a fantastic production company to provide planned, preventative maintenance on site equipment and machinery. You will already have a minimum of 3 years experience and have a formal trade skills qualifications or training in either mechanical engineering, plumbing, refrigeration, gas or electrical such as an apprenticeship, city and guilds or NVQ.

Key Performance Indicators:

 Completing essential priority list in a timely manner.
 Good response times to emergency call outs.
 Working closely with all departments and building relationships.
 Working closely with contractors and ensuring that all works are being carried out in
a reasonable and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

 Managing the activities of the Maintenance function ensuring that routine tasks are
delivered in a timely manner and strategic requirements are met.
 Undertaking various jobs that are assigned to you by the site services Manager or
team member they designate.
 To promptly and efficiently deal with emergency breakdowns across the site.
 Work with operational teams to improve the effectiveness of equipment, reduce
Damage, eliminate risks and document the same.

Qualifications:
 Formal trade skills qualifications or training in either mechanical engineering,

Samples Receivals Officer (Laboratory)

We are currently working with a market leading UK manufacturer of specialist products.
Due to ongoing success, they are currently seeking a temporary Samples Receivals Officer to join their team based in Sittingbourne and work in a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities will include:

*Collecting, unpacking and sorting lab samples from the early morning.
*Logging sample information quickly and efficiently.
*Delivering samples for extra testing to an onsite sub contractor.
*Liaising with customers to answer queries and reporting sample results to customers.
*General laboratory admin tasks including regular reports, minute taking, filing, safety tasks etc.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

*Ideally some experience in a lab environment logging sample data and managing samples.
*High degree of computer literacy including the use of programmes such as Excel and Word with good spreadsheet and database expertise and fast/touch typing.
*High attention to detail and excellent data entry skills with minimal mistakes.
*Friendly and personable with excellent communication skills to give professional customer service.
*Good technical understanding and practicality. Preferably some experience in a science related field.
*Confident, competent and can be trusted to work quickly and efficiently in a team and alone.

This is initially a temporary assignment but could potentially turn into a permanent position. Hours will initially be 4am – 12.30pm Monday to Friday for the first 2 weeks for training. After these 2 weeks, the hours will be 4am to 12.30pm Tuesday to Saturday (although Saturday will be approximately 4am – 9am).

Junior Software Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a graduate software Engineer to join a rapidly expanding company. Our customer are seeking to recruit a Junior Software Engineer to join their .Net team. This position would be great for a new graduate with an IT related degree, however it isn’t essential, what we really want is someone who can show they have the skills and capabilities to join the team. A genuine interest in software and or mobile development would be great.
Our customer are an ambitious agency based in state of the art offices. They are a close knit team delivering a range of solutions from basic websites to complex software applications and mobile apps.
There is great potential in this role to further develop skills in web application development and mobile app development.
You will be joining the .Net team and will be involved in four main areas.
Building bespoke software for business clients,
Maintaining and enhancing previous software
Ensuring quality is upheld in all areas
Helping and assisting customer with support for their systems
You will ideally be familiar with one of the following C#.Net, VB.Net and or JavaScript. You must have an understanding and appreciate of testing and how that fits into the software development process. You must also have excellent communication skills.
Any of the following would be a distinct advantage
SQL, jQuery, MVC, Rest, JSON, XML, Xamarin
