Electronic Assembly Technician (Temporary)
Our client are leaders in their field. Having started as a family run business in the 1940’s they now have over 9,000 employees globally.
The technician’s primary role will be based out of their site near Redhill and will be to work on the manufacture of thermowells which will include setting and operating of manual machinery. They are also required to work in the combined production department producing and repairing the complete range of products offered by the business.
*The manufacturing of thermowells which will consist of setting, operating and producing components using a manual lathe.
*Carry out preparation of materials and kit picking prior to manufacture.
*Testing and inspection of finished product. Followed by generation of appropriate certification such as 3.1 certs, calibration and hydro test reports.
*To monitor agreed delivery dates of all work and to communicate to the line manager any issues which may affect the completion of work by this date.
*Must have a minimum of 3 years mechanical assembly/workshop experience.
*Have full competence of working with machine tools such as band saws, lathes and hand tools.
*Ideally have worked in an ISO 9000 accredited environment.
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
*Must have a pro-active, can-do attitude & work well as part of a team.
*Must be able to offer a good degree of flexibility where workload permits.
*Literate with effective communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate confidently.
*Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
*Must be able to effectively organise, prioritise and manage workloads.
Working Hours: 37.5 per week
Hours of Work: 08.00am – 16.15pm Mon – Thurs / 08.00am – 15:50 Fri (40 mins for lunch)
Pay rates dependent on experience: £12-17PH
