Community Development Officer
A leading top 100 construction company who support development of their staff are looking for a passionate individual to join them in their expanding community development team.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
*To support the social manager with the community, client and resident engagement initiatives coupled with coordinating and delivering local employment and training opportunities.
*To ensure that the business is involved in supporting worthwhile causes in innovative and resourceful ways, on an ongoing basis, in keeping with their Corporate Social Responsibility.
*Delivery of work experience opportunities in line with their client commitments
*Delivery of school engagement including attending careers events, employment related workshops such as, but not limited to, CV writing, interview techniques and preparing for work
*Prepare case studies for submission to the marketing team
*Promote their apprenticeship opportunities working in partnership with 3rd parties.
*Support the manager in the delivery of apprenticeships
*Maintain a calendar of events that is published internally
*Produce a monthly report on community engagement and CSR items recording cashable and non-cashable benefits
*Produce quarterly Newsletters featuring CSR, community engagement and resident liaison articles. For distribution to clients and key stakeholders.
*Support the SVM in the engagement with and contribution to local communities.
oIdentify charities, schools and local projects that they can sponsor, or invest in, relevant to their projects or offices. As well as client promotions, such as open-days, fun-days, stunts and competitions, evening events, partnership working and team building events.
oSupport and run events, to a repeatedly good professional standard. Liaising with departments, contracts managers and working in the field with subcontractors to get these projects delivered as promised. Coordinate staff involvement where required.

Please note this will be based from their office in Kent but you will be required to visit various sites. A full driving licence is essential and you will be given a car allowance. You will be expected to be out of the office 3 times a week.
