Cost Analyst / Business Analyst
My client, a fast-expanding manufacturing business, are seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to join their company.
The position will take responsibility for the day- to- day reporting and analysis of the data, including keeping senior members of the business up to date with sales margin reports and updating the product costing sheets. The position will also be responsible for highlighting any areas of financial or commercial risk whilst also using the data and analytics to drive business outcomes and improvements.
The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of CRM, ERP & MRP packages. Due to the structure of the business, experience across multi-territory/currency environments would be very beneficial.
*Running regular and ad-hoc reports using the CRM, MRP systems and associated reporting tool kits – gathering data from multiple sources to generate the reports
*Key focus on sales margin reports to provide product-based costing information for the sales team and other leaders
*Using the data to generate reports and analytics to drive business outcomes and improvements
*Alongside the other members of the systems team, ensuring best practices in data management are adhered to and hi-lighting any areas of concern with the integrity of the data.
*Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in business, financial or performance reporting and cost analysis
*Previous responsibility to manage reporting that directly impacts financial or risk areas
*Experience in a manufacturing environment highly advantageous
*Sound knowledge of CRM, ERP and MRP packages
*A good understanding of a database structure and linking interfaces
*Trouble-shooting incorrect data entry to ensure reports are as accurate as possible
*Excellent skills in using reporting tool kits
*Excellent at interpreting numerical data and presenting it in user-friendly ways, including dashboards
*Highly proficient in Excel (Intermediate/Advanced User)
Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm
Salary DOE, but circa £25-30K
Office based full time
