The role
We are looking for an experienced Auditor, or someone who has considerable experience in Accounting and Audit, who is looking to take their career in a different direction.
This is the perfect role for someone looking to move from practice into industry, and be a very influential part of a globally respected financial technology group. You will have a passion for software and a strong understanding of the audit software.

The product suite, and their clients, are beginning the transition from a desktop platform to a cloud based audit system. The Product Manager will therefore play a key role in helping the business and its clients make the change as smoothly as possible, and defining the future of audit technology in the UK.

We are not looking for technical experts, there will be no programming or coding knowledge needed, but you will be hands on with research, keep up to date with statutory regulations, been an expert in the use of these systems, and offer advice and guidance on the future of audit software.

Responsibilities
*Provide clear direction for the development of the products
*Liaise with the Product Owner to ensure work is correctly scheduled and planned
*Maintain your knowledge of audit regulations and the audit market to the extent required to make commercial decisions on the future of the product range and be able to identify future statutory requirements that may affect the product portfolio
*Produce scope and specification documents to support your plans and ideas for the product suite
*Help build ‘proof of concept’ models where necessary from a user’s point of view
*To be the primary contact for, and liaise with development and product management teams on Audit System
*Liaise with QA team regarding testing requirements and product deadlines
*Responsible for managing update releases and arranging accompanying documentation
*Provide information to clients in the form of regular web bulletins
*Assist the sales team with regards to taking your products to market
*Identification and management of potential beta sites, to assist as product focus groups and testers
*To research the products of competitors and report on any significant changes and trends in the audit technology market

Competencies
*Likely to have a degree level of education
*Sound audit experience, at audit senior level or higher
*Experience of using automated systems within an accounting practice, such as paperless audit systems and financial reporting
*An understanding of the significance of IT systems within a practice environment
*Understanding the future of cloud applications and the benefits to business
*A passion for the world of technology, and for maximising the efficiency and quality of software applications
*Highly competent in the use of standard office IT systems
*Experience of collaborative software tools such as Google Docs, Office 365 etc.

You must have previous experience in a Practice environment.
You will be working in an established and rapidly expanding accounts and audit team where:
*You will have the responsibility to lead, manage, develop and coach an effective accounts team. Monitor and control the team, review their work, ensuring quality and compliance with professional standards
*Oversee and control completion of assignments including assessing controls, systems and planning
*Full responsibility for the management of a portfolio of exciting clients, including high net worth individuals
*Preparation and review of statutory accounts
*Co-ordinate the delivery of high quality services tailored to the client using the team of established staff
*Be part of the management team and contribute to the running of the practice
*Focus on mid corporate and Small & Medium sized enterprises (SME’s) including larger complex groups
*Business development – identify and win new clients

The ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience in a Practice environment
*Completed ACA or ACCA qualification. May consider QBE.
*Experience with Sage Line 50, Quickbooks, Xero and Sage Accounts Production Advanced.
*Demonstrable working knowledge of Accounting standards, industry specifics and their applications.
*Be confident and outgoing with clients, friendly and sociable with a sense of humour and flexible approach to work.
*Technical accountancy knowledge is essential
*A proactive, ambitious and energetic personality
*You will be systematic, methodical and able to think outside the box
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills with evidence of good organisation skills
*You will have a full clean driving license with use of a car.
