Head of Product and Partnership

Our client is looking for a Head of Product and Partnership reporting to the Marketing Director as well as being responsible for a team of 6-10 including Area Coordinators, Promotion/Partnership Developers and Manager, Marketing Executive and Technical Product Specialist.

The role itself requires the successful candidate to grow and maximise sales by optimising channels and products by offering a branded retail environment. Utilising Financial control, planning and forecasting to deliver expected results. Any previous experience in the medical sector or within medical devices would be a positive factor.

Key duties

*Distribution and listing of (predominantly parent company) medical instruments and listing of leading (technological and strategic) range of appropriate accessories and related products – to include:
oNew product launch (including ensuring appropriate technical and commercial training)
oProduct updates
oPrice positioning, including input into any price lead campaigns
oOrderly retirement of product when appropriate
*Management of relationship with all 3rd party suppliers and relevant Group supply elements (currently factory in Poland and wholesale technical support in Scotland), including product plans, training, technical support and appropriate collateral
*Management of (currently 5) distributed mini coordinators (straight line – they have a dotted line to Area Manager) and liaison with Estate Manager and Geographical Analyst to ensure optimal and profitable accessibility to brand for consumers:
oOverall P&L responsibility for minis
oTargeting and reviewing (analysis of performance) mini locations whilst influencing and supporting operational management
*Management of support given to branches, ensuring brand standards and best consumer experience
*Building and management of marketing partnerships ensuring brand fit; lead generation opportunity and digital presence
*Management of all B2B marketing materials that support branch and mini locations with the aim of optimising in-store upsell and providing clear consumer information

*Acquisition elements of Marketing Team
*Sales managers
*Finance buddy, especially regarding pricing & unit location assessment
*Other Support Centre colleagues
*Manufacturers
*Demant Group Services (DGS)

Measures of success

*Smooth introduction of medical products to the dispenser to optimise product sales from product launch (delivered via clear training and buy-in)
*Smooth delivery of instruments to the consumer (delivered via good process and go-to-market strategies)
*Rapidly growing accessory sales
*Growing mini presence and P&L without cannibalising branches (unless those branches are marginal and marked for closure)
*Technologically improving dispenser workforce and estate that shouts out technology

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Skills & competencies
*Accomplished confident & effective leader of people – collegiate preference – success through inspiring others
*An initiator who also completes competence
*Highly organised – capable of running several concurrent projects & routines with varied colleagues
*Computerate – with good Microsoft Office suite

Experience
*At least 5 years operating successfully within a senior role, involving the direct leadership of staff
*Robust experience of product management in a retail environment
*Experience of B2B marketing for a consumer brand
*Involvement in (or at very least full understanding of) consumer marketing in a sales lead organisation
*Demonstrably successful use of financial control, planning and forecasting

Location
*The role will involve travel and overnights
*Some flexibility but must be able comfortably to be in Maidstone
