Site Manager (Construction)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site manager to join a multi-disciplined top 100 construction company based in North Kent. This business is renowned for refurbishing and building homes of the highest quality and an opportunity for exceptional Site Manager to join the established team has arisen. This opportunity will be especially suited to an experienced site manager looking to manage social housing and residential sites in London and surrounding areas.

Due to an increase in forthcoming projects, they are looking to expand the management team and are specifically looking for a Site Manager with experience of working on large residential projects.

You will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of health, safety and environmental standards, and communicating with the rest of the site team including contracts manager, quantity surveyors and buyers to ensure all projects are delivered on time and in a manner that boosts the company’s reputation for quality and minimise defects.

Role Duties:
*You will accountable for all daily operational activity and the management of operatives and sub-contractors ensuring adherence to all company policies, procedures and practices.
*Providing cost effective resource allocation and management of sub-contractors, consultants, staff, plant and materials.
*A proven track record of delivering large, high quality residential projects.
*Review and coordinate contract drawings and specifications for all work sections.
*Ensure the schedule of works and drawings align with the construction detail and method understood
*Demonstrate a strong Customer focus and an ability to deliver initiatives within the local community and to support the Company’s corporate social responsibility.
*Identify and requisition site equipment / plant and materials to ensure completion of works. Ensure all operatives and sub-contractors are suitably trained to use any relevant plant and equipment. Work closely with the commercial team to be aware of the financial position of the contract. Agree scopes of each sub contract package.
* Chair and attend weekly sub-contractor progress and plan meetings and record minutes.

Skills Required:
*Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above to include Maths and English
*SMSTS certificate
*Relevant construction related level 4 and above qualification (HNC / NVQ)
*Appropriate CSCS card and driving licence
