Compliance Manager – FMCG

We are currently working with a leading FMCG distributor, based in Sittingbourne.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to support all internal and external site audits.

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for:

Developing and maintaining the Quality Management system
Ensuring the Quality Management system is available to all staff
Ensuring the internal audit schedule is implemented against the Quality Management system and the Customer Codes of Practice
Carrying out risk assessments or 2nd party auditing for suppliers
Coordinating of site GMP audits
Managing pest control contract
HACCP & TACCP team leadership
Arranging, chairing and documenting the Annual Quality Review meeting
Undertaking recall and traceability tests as part of the Technical & Quality team
Ensuring micro and pesticide testing is completed
Managing of document control system
Generating and reporting of technical performance KPI’s
Developing, training and maintaining the Technical & Quality team
Ensuring that continuous improvement/best practice as well as effective team working

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Degree qualified in Food Science or Agricultural based studies or similar or equivalent work-based experience
At least 2 years’ working in a Technical role
Working knowledge of BRC
Minimum of level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Hygiene plus an internal auditing qualification
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-organised
Resilient with a strong work ethic
Proven time management skills and be accustomed to working with and meeting time-critical deadlines
Ability to work well under pressure and proactively seek win/win solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
