Intake Quality Controller – FMCG

We are currently working with a leading FMCG distributor, based in Sittingbourne.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Intake Quality Controller to ensure all incoming produce meets all business requirements of safety, quality, and legality.

The Intake Quality Controller will be responsible for:

Ensure that all arrivals are inspected as per the relevant intake protocol
Ensure that all aspects of product quality are accurately reported to the customers and business
Ensure that any temperature abuse or other issues that can seriously affect product quality are immediately reported to the customer
Effectively communicate to customers where necessary
To work safely and report any hazards or near misses to a Key Operative or Production Support Manager
To work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to the daily Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of the department as set by the Intake & Ripening Manager and the needs of the business
To maintain high levels of hygiene and housekeeping through the clean as you go policy
To clearly communicate between all colleagues in your team and your Line Manager in a timely manner

The Intake Quality Controller will be able to demonstrate:

Experience working in a temperature-controlled environment
Experience working in a packhouse/production environment
Knowledge of fresh produce standards
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to work as a team and do repetitive work
Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines

Production and Data Planner – FMCG

Our client is a leading distributor of fresh produce across the UK. Having been established for almost 10 years, they are showing rapid growth even during the current climate. Due to this success, they are now seeking a Production and Data Planner to join their site near Sittingbourne.

The Production and Data Planner will be responsible for controlling and maintaining accurate production planning processes across the business, ensuring complete and deliverable scheduling of all products and production lines.

Responsibilities will include:

Creating a rolling 7 day forecast in ERP using Scheduler tools and customer forecasts/insight.
Ensuring a refined/final production plan is in place for following day, taking internal and external factors into account.
Submit daily shift labour requirements to support delivery of the plan.
Work and communicate with customers to enable stock arrivals/quality issues/job types to be built into the production plan.
Provide full communication to the business around volume planning/actuals and ensure understanding of impacts to the plan.
Ensuring key master data tables in ERP are up to date and reviewed on a weekly basis.
Reporting on key performance metrics for shift performance.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Experience working in a planning role within a fresh produce/fmcg business.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Have a strong character coupled with being a fast learner.
Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines.
Be organised and methodical in your approach.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to support all internal and external site audits.

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for:

Developing and maintaining the Quality Management system
Ensuring the Quality Management system is available to all staff
Ensuring the internal audit schedule is implemented against the Quality Management system and the Customer Codes of Practice
Carrying out risk assessments or 2nd party auditing for suppliers
Coordinating of site GMP audits
Managing pest control contract
HACCP & TACCP team leadership
Arranging, chairing and documenting the Annual Quality Review meeting
Undertaking recall and traceability tests as part of the Technical & Quality team
Ensuring micro and pesticide testing is completed
Managing of document control system
Generating and reporting of technical performance KPI’s
Developing, training and maintaining the Technical & Quality team
Ensuring that continuous improvement/best practice as well as effective team working

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Degree qualified in Food Science or Agricultural based studies or similar or equivalent work-based experience
At least 2 years’ working in a Technical role
Working knowledge of BRC
Minimum of level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Hygiene plus an internal auditing qualification
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-organised
Resilient with a strong work ethic
Proven time management skills and be accustomed to working with and meeting time-critical deadlines
Ability to work well under pressure and proactively seek win/win solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Packaging Operative to join their team on the 6am-6pm 4 on 4 off.
The Packaging Operative will be responsible for controlling, verifying, printing, issuing and recording labels for production, ensuring the information is accurate in accordance with customer specifications.

Responsibilities will include:

*Control the data entry, correct input parameters and verification of labels.
*Control the printing, production and issue of labels in accordance with up to date specifications and technical standards.
*Produce and maintain clear administrative records regarding the printing, traceability and issuing of labels.
*Ensure that the printers and scanners are maintained and available at all times.
*Continuously look for ways to improve the business processes of the packaging issue area, and report them to the Packaging Supervisor or Manager.
*Issue correct packaging per job requirements.
*Record all packaging movements in and out of the issue area.
*Ensure all packaging is covered and has traceability labels.
*Maintain high levels of Health, Safety, Hygiene, housekeeping and contamination practices and standards in your work area.
*Communicate effectively with production and report any non-conformances to a Manager.

Agronomist

We are working with a leading FMCG business who are seeking and Agronomist to work in the Dundee area. This position will be to promote agronomic best practice in order that the grower members may become the most technically competent, profitable and aware in the UK industry.

Duties
*Undertake regular visits to members’ farms to a schedule agreed with each individual member prior to the commencement of each season.
*To assist in the provision of agronomic support required by each member selected from the Advisory Service menu:
oPerformance and production benchmarking
oCrop production planning
oFertiliser and Fertigation recommendations
oEnvironmental management recommendations
oCrop Husbandry recommendations
oFlower mapping interpretation
oLabour profiling
oSupporting research programmes
oIrrigation recommendations
oPest and disease monitoring and control recommendations
oPlant health testing
oSubstrate analysis and management recommendations
oTaking soil or substrate, plant, leaf or sap samples and providing interpretation and advice from the analysis results returned or plant clinic report.
*The above should be recorded and advised in a manner agreed upon by the grower and all remedial applications recommended using the Farmade GateKeeper software provided.
*To write weekly technical notes for inclusion in a regular in house bulletin, circulated to all grower members via the Extranet website. This should cover the most relevant current cultural topics for crops, highlighting particular areas of attention in that relevant period.
*To take part in farm walks, meetings and any other such events held to support members and information sharing.

Experience
*Experience as an Agronomist
*Have gained full accreditation and qualification in BASIS and FACTS certification schemes
*Happy to travel within a 30-mile radius of Dundee
*Skilled at managing relationships with Growers
*Full driving licence and own transport
