Production Operative

We are currently working with a leading FMCG business based in Paddock Wood.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Production Operative to join their team. The Production Operative will be responsible for all aspects of day to day operations processing from material supply to the packing of finished goods.

Responsibilities will include:

Ensuring all documentation is completed and recorded accurately.
Ensuring all paperwork, product, labels are correct and samples taken when appropriate.
Checking stock is clean before use and labelled correctly.
Carrying out cleaning duties and replenish stock as and when required.
Handling material safely in line with company policies, Health & Safety and HACCP plan.
Operating the safe use of fork lift trucks and ensure checks are completed on relevant vehicles.
Contributing to a good approach to Food Safety, Health & Hygiene, HACCP and Quality and ensure all relevant regulations are met.
Exhibiting a wide awareness of COSHH, risk assessment and general process safety.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
Fork Lift Driver.
Great attention to detail.
Knowledge of food production (advantageous)

Hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 8am-4pm or 7am-3pm. Benefits include company pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, an extra day off on your birthday, free parking, career progression.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Technologist to work with Operational and Quality teams to drive a culture of compliance and adherence to standards within the business.

The Technologist will be responsible for:

-Working closely with Operational, Quality and other teams on site to ensure full understanding, acceptance and compliance with the required standards.
-Support the Technical Manager to ensure that the site is audit ready at all times holding teams to account for their performance.
-Assisting the Technical Manager with HACCP, QA Management Standards and Technical documentation on site contributing to create and maintain a single business standard.
-Support the Technical Manager with the internal audit schedule.
-Play a key part in internal auditing.
-Ensuring all testing relating to the Quality Management System is carried out as per the schedule.
-Hosting Technical 3rd party audits and visits.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

-Degree qualified in Food Science or Agricultural based studies or equivalent work based experience.
-Attention to detail.
-Excellent communication skills.
-At least 1 years’ experience in a Technical role.
-Minimum of Level 2 HACCP and Food Safety (Level 3 desirable).
-Internal auditing qualification.

The Materials & Resource Planner will be responsible for:

Delivery of morning and afternoon MRP sessions to assist short-term commercial planning.
Delivery of ad-hoc MRP sessions to enable medium and long-term planning.
Communication of MRP results within the business and 3rd parties.
Updating stock and order information as required.
Maintenance and administration of the planning files.

The ideal person will be able to demonstrate:

Experience working in a similar role, ideally within an FMCG environment.
Strong interpersonal skills.

QC/Lab Analyst – Part Time

We are currently working with a leading FMCG business based in Paddock Wood.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a QC/Lab Analyst to join their established team on a part-time basis.

The QC/Lab Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing product quality and adherence to ISO accreditations and the internal Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities will include:

Analysis of samples using analytical chemistry test methodologies
Investigation of non-conforming samples, data evaluation and reporting
Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures for use of laboratory equipment procedures and investigation protocols
Testing raw materials and finished goods as part of Goods In/Out product release
Trending of results and statistical analysis of incoming goods
Update maintenance log for cleaning and servicing of equipment
Update company technical documentation including QC SOP’s and records
Maintain own training record for laboratory, regulatory compliance and Health & Safety
Check and report stock levels
Maintain all QC laboratory equipment as per maintenance schedule

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful background within a lab based QC role. Knowledge of the food/FMCG sector would be advantageous along with knowledge of HACCP, BRC and SOP’s.

Hours will be 25 per week, worked across Monday to Friday.

Supply Chain Coordinator – FMCG

We are currently working with a leading National FMCG business based near Maidstone.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their established team.

The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for:

Monitoring post-delivery and any issues arising from completed Customer orders
Liaising with all areas of the business
Liaising and building relationships with external parties including hauliers and
other suppliers
Collating data related to Customer orders
Supporting Trading Managers and Procurement
Collation and management of forecasts
Allocate and Process relevant customer orders throughout the day
Distribute and communicate haulage detail and amendments
Maintain relevant customer programmes and order requirements
Post-delivery administration

The ideal candidate will have:

Knowledge of Industry Systems including Import Duty, Quotas, Intrastat and
CFSP etc advantageous but not essential
Previous administration & sales office experience required, ideally from an FMCG or fresh produce background
Positive, outgoing & friendly personality
Good mind for mathematical problems & logical thinking
Methodical approach
Ability to work systematically with a keen eye for detail
Good computer skills (Microsoft products mainly – Prophet experience an
advantage)
Ability to work alone, using own initiative and as part of a team as required
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, planning time & priorities
Willingness to work unsocial hours & including Weekend’s and Bank Holidays where required

The role operates on a shift pattern, hours will be Monday to Friday split start times on a rota 6.30am to 3.30pm and 8am to 5pm. Saturday and Sunday (you will get 2 days back in lieu) 6.30am to 3.30pm. On call rota is also in place 7 days a week up to 9pm.
