Front End Developer (Mid-Weight) – Remote/Home Worker
Our client based near the Kent coast are seeking a Front-End Developer to join their team. The company are going through an interest period of change and it is an excellent and exciting time to join their team.
The organisation is delving further into the eCommerce field and expanding their services and solutions. To be able to do this they need an expert to be the point of contact for all existing and new technologies within the business and lead this development.

This position is being offered as a remote/home-based contract, but for local individuals there is space to be part of the office team and free parking on site.
The Developer serves as a central person responsible for technology and platforms within the organisation. You will create strategy and guide others in implementing technical solutions for the company. You propose innovative solutions and drive their implementation and support.
A successful candidate will be a committed and articulate individual, required to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to produce software and web solutions that are of enterprise quality. The team is responsible for the development and continuous delivery of a business-critical analytics web application.
This role will be working with 1 other Developer who is focused on the back-end and reporting to the board. It is essential that this individual has worked on their own/within a very small team and taking control of every aspect of their projects from start to finish from ideas/conception, choosing the tech/methods and mapping the project, through to delivery.
*The employee does due diligence as far as analysis and design of any projects they undertake. Owns technological solutions to implement designs made for our customers.
*Leads the implementation and support of technological solutions
*Works with other department leaders to deliver services within their function
*Ensures staff follow processes and proposes process improvements where necessary
*Ensures that the company is compliant with license agreements, GDPR, Compliance, Cyber security
*Proposes, implements and supports new technological solutions that improve business operations
*Ensures the company is ahead of the curve in terms of technology and is seen as a leader by both competitors and customers
*Conducts respectful and friendly communication with customers (internal/external)
*Constantly learns to give the company new capabilities
Technical skills required
*React preferred, will consider Angular
*UX/UI Interface design is essential
*HTML5, CSS, LESS
*.NET Framework knowledge
*GIT (source control)
*Experience working with JSON and XML webservices
*SQL Server Administration
*Experience with Azure Advantageous
*Excellent understanding of the technologies, architectures, solutions, designs, implementation and underpinning technical standards
*You will be comfortable working flexibly in an agile oriented development environment, to a high degree of accuracy and within tight deadlines
*You will have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
*Data modelling using appropriate tools
*Strong knowledge of developing enterprise web-based applications
*Minimum of 5 years’ experience in development
*Preferably hold a relevant Microsoft qualification in programming and development
*A degree or equivalent experience in either data management, information systems or computer science
*Experience in an eCommerce or retail company would be advantageous

This is a permanent full-time position Monday – Friday.
