We are currently working with a specialist manufacturing business based just outside of Maidstone.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Stores Controller to join their established team.

The Stores Controller will be responsible for all aspects of managing company stock; this includes supervising all goods inwards and storage of stock as well as issuing material in a timely manner to production.

Key duties include:

Responsible for all goods inwards
Ensure Stock systems records are maintained
Issuing stock

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

A minimum of a year’s experience in a similar role
Computer literate
Strong organisational skills
Effective multi-tasking
A team player possessing good interpersonal skills
Physically fit as there is some lifting required
A fork lift licence would be advantageous

Mechanical Design Engineer – Manufacturing

We are currently working with a leading manufacturer of bespoke products.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established team.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be tasked with assisting with project management for new products from concept designs through to finished product. This will include being responsible for detailing manufacturing and assembly procedures taking into account lean manufacturing and continuous improvement systems and techniques.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing end to end projects
Designing 3D models of bespoke products for global customers
Liaising with both the sales team and customers to identify design requirements
Producing detailed engineering/manufacturing drawings
Producing standard operating procedures to detail manufacturing and assembly methods
Producing technical documents, reports and presentations for internal and external use

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

A relevant engineering degree in the field of Mechanical/Design Engineering
Strong experience using 3D CAD software (ideally Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks)
Full lifecycle design experience – concept design, 2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and designing for manufacture as well as maintenance and design improvement considerations
Experience of tolerance analysis including manufactured parts and assembly tolerance stack up
Lean manufacturing experience i.e. 5S or Six Sigma
Experience with use of ERP and/or MRP systems i.e. SAGE, Oracle, Progress Plus
Proven project management skills
Experience with continuous improvement systems and techniques
Project management qualifications i.e. Prince 2 / PMP
Experience of working in an ISO9001 accredited Engineering company would be advantageous

Benefits include a quarterly bonus scheme (approximately £300 per quarter), company pension scheme of 4% and employees contribute 5%, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing by 1 day per every year of service up to a maximum of 25.

We are working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business with a global presence that offer a niche product range.

This will be a permanent full-time position. Monday – Friday 8am-4pm. As well as a very competitive salary they offer a great holiday allowance, good pension and additional extras.

Duties
*Oversee production planning and management activities within the business.
*Develop production plan, budget, and timelines according to production specifications.
*Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.
*Plan workflow and schedules for production departments.
*Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.
*Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
*Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
*Notify business on any delays and outages, keeping CRM fully informed of any changes.
*Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction (Internal & External).
*Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.
*Assist in new product development, enhancements, and implementation.
*Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production schedules.
*Ensure that finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
*Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production.
*Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.
*Assist in employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention, and termination activities.
*This role will be hands-on, requiring interaction with Production Managers, Supervisors and Team leaders where appropriate.

Requirements
*Proven experience as a production planner in manufacturing
*Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
*Comprehensive knowledge of MRP & ERP Systems (Orderwise would be ideal)
*Thorough understanding of Bill of Materials and Production Routings
*Awareness of Quality Control requirements and problem-solving techniques
*Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Desirable but not essential
*Proficient in all Microsoft applications
*The ideal candidate should be extremely motivated, with a ‘can do’ approach
*Results orientated; focused on KPI’s and deliverable OTIF metrics
*Able to work to tight deadlines, calm under the pressure of a fast-paced manufacturing environment
*Excellent communication skills both externally and with colleagues of all levels
*Analytical, numerically astute, with strong problem-solving abilities
*Excellent time management skills

A client based near Broadstairs are seeking a Junior / Entry Level Maintenance Engineer to join their day shift team. This will be working across the development, testing and maintenance of machinery and equipment in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing business.

Key Duties/Responsibilities
*To fault find and maintain plc and electrical systems
*To fault find and maintain complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems
*To devise, fabricate and assemble new and modified mechanical plant and equipment
*To undertake timely, planned, preventative maintenance tasks
*Repairs to machinery, ancillary equipment and services
*Following tests and inspections, to complete appropriate documentation / IT system entries
*To work in a safe and efficient manner
*To maintain good housekeeping throughout the work area
*To undertake and maintain ‘5S’ activities
*To undertake training and development to fill skill voids as appropriate

Experience required
*Knowledge of plc control and electrical systems
*Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
*Knowledge of 5S
*Degree or similar in a related field
*If you have hands on commercial experience this will be preferred but not essential

Production Operative – FMCG

We are currently working with a leading FMCG business based in Paddock Wood.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Production Operative to join their team. The Production Operative will be responsible for all aspects of day to day operations processing from material supply to the packing of finished goods.

Responsibilities will include:

Ensuring all documentation is completed and recorded accurately.
Ensuring all paperwork, product, labels are correct and samples taken when appropriate.
Checking stock is clean before use and labelled correctly.
Carrying out cleaning duties and replenish stock as and when required.
Handling material safely in line with company policies, Health & Safety and HACCP plan.
Operating the safe use of fork lift trucks and ensure checks are completed on relevant vehicles.
Contributing to a good approach to Food Safety, Health & Hygiene, HACCP and Quality and ensure all relevant regulations are met.
Exhibiting a wide awareness of COSHH, risk assessment and general process safety.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
Fork Lift Driver.
Great attention to detail.
Knowledge of food production (advantageous)
