Digital Web Editor / Digital Marketing Assistant
Our client based near the Kent coast are seeking a Digital Web Editor to join their dynamic and passionate marketing team. This eCommerce company are going through an interesting period of change and it is an excellent and exciting time to join their team.
Within this role you would be responsible for creating and delivering compelling online content (website copy, blog posts, e-mail & social media) for both their B2B & B2C audiences. There will be a focus on understanding the customers through market insights and competitor research to create content that will not only expand their digital footprint but generate leads, increase engagement, and help drive conversion.

*Creating inspiring content using SEO best practice to generate traffic to the company website with a focus on growing leads and subscribers
*Researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
*Prepare well-structured and interesting content in a range of engaging formats, including email, social media, blogs, eBooks etc.
*Assisting with social media content creation and scheduling
*Excellent attention to detail. Proofreading and editing all content prior to publication
*Collaborate with other departments to create innovative content ideas
*Work closely with SEO from the content briefing stage to page publication to ensure content is fully optimised
*Reporting: Utilise Google Analytics (& other tools) to evaluate traffic patterns within website, ensuring appropriate tracking & management systems are in place
*Using data to monitor and analyse the results of all activity and present recommendations for improvement, changes or content gaps
*Ensure all-around consistency with the brand guidelines (style, fonts, images and tone)
*Pro-active, resourceful and a good team player
*Responsible for supporting the daily maintenance of website content
*Adding and removing products on the websites. Including writing product descriptions, adding specifications, sourcing images, setting prices and redirects
*Ad hoc requirements including adding bespoke codes for quotes, amending prices, lead times, images, downloads on existing products
*A relevant degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
*CIM qualification would be preferred but not essential
*Minimum of 3- 5 years proven work experience in digital focused role
*Excellent copywriting/content producing experience
*Proven experience of content or brand strategy development.
*Exceptional organisational skills and ability to multitask and effectively drive projects forward in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment.
*Proven record of excellent writing & editing skills demonstrated in a professional portfolio
*Experience of undertaking research using multiple sources
*The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
*Strong project/time management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects
*Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO and web analytics
*Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
*Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
*Some knowledge of building products would be advantageous; however, product training will be provided
