KHR is currently assisting a leading National FMCG business based near Maidstone who are looking to hire an experienced Business Systems Manager to join their growing Systems Team.

If you are currently working as a Business Systems Manager with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, ERP (Prophet), business analysis, change and project management, and have experience leading a team, then this could be the ideal role for you.

The key responsibility of the the Business Systems Manager will be to lead the growing Systems team, which compromises of Reports & System Support, Business Analyst, and Systems Analysts. As a team you are responsible for ensuring the implementation, development and support of the business systems align with company requirements. While you will be focusing on the ERP system (Prophet), other supporting applications and workflows will come under your remit.

The Business Systems Manager will be responsible for:
– Working alongside the System Architect to ensure all workflows and applications work in harmony and deliver on business requirements
– Change and project management using Agile methods, promoting continuous improvement within the business
– Establish the Systems team’s goals, objectives and operating procedures
– Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organisation of the Systems team
– Ensure support service levels are maintained across all systems (user support & uptime)
– Promote a continual improvement environment within the Systems Team, and within the wider business context
– Handle multiple projects, organising, and coordinating of team resources to achieve deadlines and requirements
– Engage with business departments to manage project requirements, delivery, progress, resourcing and expectations
– Be responsible for the Systems backlog, enabling the Systems team to deliver a consistently improving level of work
– Provide primary contact between the business and external support & development teams, ensuring these external teams deliver on their commitment to the business
– Manage a robust testing and implementation process for system changes and updates
– Occasional out-of-hours support (approx. 1 week in 12) and managing upgrades and period-ends (once or twice a year)

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
– 4+ years of experience as a Systems Manager or similar role
– Worked with ERP or integrated systems
– Proven track record of project delivery
– Strong technical understanding to provide guidance to a team
– Keen prioritisation and triaging skills to match business needs to available resource
– Business analyst skills (requirements gathering, process mapping & spec writing)
– An excellent communicator and good documentation skills
– A creative thinker with strong problem solving skills
– Logical and systematic
– The ability to interact with any level of staff with confidence and clarity

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm, however you must have a willingness to work occasional unsocial hours when required.

If you are currently working as a Systems Analyst with an understanding of Agile methodologies, some exposure to SAP , Prophet ERP and SQL, then this could be the ideal next step for you.

The Systems Analyst will support the wider business in improving the way they work and meet new challenges that present themselves as the business continues to be an industry leading organisation.

The successful candidate will enjoy problem solving, working with a broad range of
stakeholders and making positive business-wide improvements. You will be able to deploy
analytical and technical skills in a range of contexts, supporting current workflows and being an agent of change for future states.

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for:

Working in the Systems team enabling the business to implement and support its main
business ERP and supporting applications
Working with 3rd party development and project teams to develop and implement
applications into the business’s user base
Change and project management using Agile methods, promoting continuous
improvement within the business
Enabling the business to react to business change and challenges in a coordinated and
efficient manner
To enable users at to be able to carry out their duties using their core ERP system and
supporting applications
Provide link between the business and external support and development teams
Identify system/workflow changes to optimise business processes and anticipating impact
of change
Ensure developments on core business systems are tested and implemented appropriately
Implement new workflows and processes across all business functions
Utilise toolsets (ie ERP workspaces or data transformation tools) to produce application
interfaces for users
Provide second-line support for support queries; getting to the root causes of issues and
providing solutions and ways forward for improved future results
Occasional out-of-hours support (approx. 1 week in 12) and managing upgrades and
period-ends (once or twice a year)

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

At least 3 years’ of experience in System or Business Analysis or similar
Have worked with ERP or integrated systems
Successful implementation of new processes and applications into wider business
The ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge, and comfortable using SQL to analyse user
and system behaviour, highlighting problems and providing solutions
SQL querying
Intermediate TSQL (sub-queries, CTEs, database fundamentals such as indexes)
Business analyst skills (requirements gathering, process mapping & spec writing)
Knowledge of Prophet ERP would be ideal, but any ERP or integrated system (WMS, MRP, etc.) would be advantageous as would Business Objects/Crystal Reports
An excellent communicator and good documentation skills
A creative thinker with strong problem solving skills
Logical and systematic
The ability to interact with any level of staff with confidence and clarity

If you are currently working as a Systems Analyst with an understanding of Agile methodologies, some exposure to SAP , Prophet ERP and SQL, then this could be the ideal next step for you.

The key requirements of the Systems Analyst will be to enable to the business to implement and develop systems and processes, work closely with the system development team, use Agile methodologies to support on change and project management, and to provide continuous support to the department.

Roles and Responsibilities

– Ensure the interaction between the business systems and the user community to effectively meet the needs of the business
– Provide support for business systems
– Provide link between the business and external support & development teams
– Identify system modifications to optimise business processes
– Ensure system changes on core business systems are tested and implemented to meet the needs of the business
– Manage implementation and ongoing updates and change requests for 3rd party systems within the business
– Assist with the maintenance of business reporting systems and their administration
– Documentation of business processes & knowledge
– Training of new knowledge and processes to the business, enabling departments to train their own staff
– Maintain relationships with all key personnel from around the business
– Develop ongoing training on all business systems
– Other ad hoc duties as required

Candidate Profile

– Business analyst skills
– Prophet ERP
– Experience of database technologies beneficial – particularly SQL querying
– SAP Crystal reports (desirable)
– SAP Business Objects (desirable)
– Agile methodologies
– Understanding of Microsoft technologies
– Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence) (desirable)
– Understanding of networking technologies (desirable)
– Excellent communicator – verbally and written
– Logical & systematic
– Ability to interact with any level of staff with confidence & clarity
– Full, clean driving licence

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, however you must have a willingness to work occasional unsocial hours when required.
