Production / Industrial Cleaner – FMCG

Our client is a leading distributor of fresh produce across the UK. Having been established for multiple years, they are showing rapid growth even during the current climate. Due to this success, they are now seeking Production Cleaners to join their team in Maidstone on a permanent basis.

The Production Cleaners will be responsible for working as part of the Engineering Team and will support the Shift Maintenance Engineer with some preventative maintenance.

The role is predominantly a deep cleaning role which will involve removing guards and barriers under the supervision of the Shift Engineer and cleaning production machinery.

Responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that the cleaning schedule is adhered to, to minimise the uptime of production machinery so far is reasonably practicable.
To carry out preventative maintenance as directed by Shift Maintenance Engineers.
To carry out tasks with due regard to the cleaning specification and all legislation including Health & Safety and Personal Hygiene.
To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are always used and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Report faulty machinery/equipment immediately.
To use every effort to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and colleagues.
Report all accidents and dangerous occurrences and near misses to your Manager.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Good written and spoken English.
Good dexterity and the ability to use basic hand tools.
Must be self-motivated and can work unsupervised.
Must possess a genuine desire to maintain and clean machinery.
COSHH Awareness.
Excellent attention to detail.

Permanent, Full Time
4 day on, 4 days off

Summer – 10am – 10pm
Winter – 6pm – 6am

Production Manager

Position: Production Manager
Location: Tonbridge area
£Neg dependent on experience

– Staff training and daily labour management
– Managing stock levels through timely stock taking
– Monitoring and planning the full production process
– Ensuring the highest standards of health and safety
– Managing daily KPIs and operational performance
– Reporting site performance back to Leadership Team on a daily basis
– Continuous process improvement and implementation
– Resource management
– Preparing for scale-up and new market growth

The perfect person for this role will be naturally organised, tech-savvy and passionate with strong attention to detail. The company is also looking for someone who can adapt to a strongly-entrepreneurial environment and can fit into the existing hard-working team.

Person specification:

– 5+ years of previous production and management experience
– Qualifications at degree level (Engineering preferred)
– People and project management experience
– Hands-on approach
– Experience in managing efficient production shifts
– Previous Site Safety/Health & Safety experience (NEBOSCH / IOSH)

Production and Data Planner – FMCG

Our client is a leading distributor of fresh produce across the UK. Having been established for almost 10 years, they are showing rapid growth even during the current climate. Due to this success, they are now seeking a Production and Data Planner to join their site near Sittingbourne.

The Production and Data Planner will be responsible for controlling and maintaining accurate production planning processes across the business, ensuring complete and deliverable scheduling of all products and production lines.

Responsibilities will include:

Creating a rolling 7 day forecast in ERP using Scheduler tools and customer forecasts/insight.
Ensuring a refined/final production plan is in place for following day, taking internal and external factors into account.
Submit daily shift labour requirements to support delivery of the plan.
Work and communicate with customers to enable stock arrivals/quality issues/job types to be built into the production plan.
Provide full communication to the business around volume planning/actuals and ensure understanding of impacts to the plan.
Ensuring key master data tables in ERP are up to date and reviewed on a weekly basis.
Reporting on key performance metrics for shift performance.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Experience working in a planning role within a fresh produce/fmcg business.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Have a strong character coupled with being a fast learner.
Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines.
Be organised and methodical in your approach.
