Key role of the BDM

Manage existing accounts (30%) and grow (70%) both newly acquired customers and existing customers so that the overall business goals of additional advert numbers and product saturation on site are achieved.

Role and Responsibilities

– Achieving individual sales revenue targets & activity targets
– Owning the sales cycle from lead generation to closure
– Generating and converting new business opportunities through dedicated prospecting and cold calling
– Managing the customer base to deliver first class account management with quality regular & timely review meetings
– Ensuring that all accounts have a clear understanding of the products & pricing structure, and to deliver value-added solutions against their business needs
– Interpreting data and information in review meetings with customers enabling them to better understand their business
and the market/s within which they operate
– To liaise with internal support functions such as Customer Services and Finance to ensure smooth management of the
billing & administration process for your customer base, plus the provision of any supporting sales reports
– To drive the satisfactory resolution of customer queries and disputes, e.g. in relation to invoice queries.
– Work closely with your colleagues to offer a consistently great service
– Liaise closely with Area Director, Telephone Account Manager, Head Office support departments

Candidate Profile

– Proven outstanding sales and negotiation skills, and consistent over achievement of targets
– Demonstrate excellent relationship-building
– High conversions and thrives from closing New business
– Excellent objection handling skills (non-price related negotiating)
– Solid New Business (70%) and Account Management (30%) experience
– Experience working in a multi-product environment
– Excellent Geographical planning, to optimise appointment levels
– Demonstrate resilience and professionalism when dealing with potentially hostile situations
– Analytical and confident with data analysis
– Problem solver with the ability to take ownership and resolve issues
– Strong communication skills
– PC Literate particularly competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and company system

You must hold a full UK driving license to be considered for this role due to remote working.
