Specialist manufacturing business near Marden, Kent are actively looking to recruit a Quality Manager to oversee their Quality function.

This company are a bespoke designer and manufacturer of specialist metal-based products. The Quality Manager will be responsible for running the QMS, reviewing quality processes and implementing improvements where required.

Role & Responsibilities of the Quality Manager

– Improve and maintain QMS, keeping in line with ISO9001 standards
– Improve and maintain internal audit programme
– Present information to senior management team
– Improve and maintain SOP registers
– Implement FMEA registers
– Client and external bodies liaisons regarding QMS

Candidate Profile

– Quality Management experience
– Manufacturing/ production/ engineering sector exposure
– Sheet Metal experience
– ISO 9001 / 8D Reporting
– 5s / Six sigma technique experience
– SPC/PQR analysis
– Knowledge of FMEA analysis

On Offer

£45,000 – £55,000pa

Benefits include: 20 days holiday pa increasing by 1 day pa up to a maximum of 25 days after 5 years’ service. Enrolment into the Company bonus scheme after 3 months service (paid out quarterly). Enrolment into Company pension scheme.

Full-time, permanent.

Physicist (Manufacturing)

We are currently working with a leading manufacturer of bespoke products.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Physicist to join their technical department and be responsible for quality control and writing technical documents.

The role will involve design, simulation and testing of specialist products. The Physicist will also be involved in testing for quality control and writing technical documents for customers. The role will include carrying out test setups, operations and calibration independently, whilst documenting procedures and results. The role will require communication with customers to provide technical support, which can additionally involve site visits and will call for flexibility.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related field
1-2 years’ experience in laboratory work and processing experimental data, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Technical documentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that can offer ongoing development and career progression. Hours for this role will be 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Benefits include a quarterly bonus scheme (approximately £300 per quarter), company pension scheme of 4% and employees contribute 5%, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing by 1 day per every year of service up to a maximum of 25.

Quality Engineer – (Sheet- Metal/ Engineering)

Quality Engineer – £35,000 – £40,000pa

Are you an experienced Quality Engineer? Do you have previous experience working with sheet- metal?

My client is a bespoke designer and manufacturer of specialist metal-based products. The Quality Engineer will work closely with the Quality team, reviewing quality processes and implementing improvements where required.

Role & Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer

– Work closely with Technician to ensure products are inspected before the deadline
– Plan and carry out regular internal audits
– Creation of key dimensional reports and FAI reports
– Finding discrepancies and implementing corrective actions
– Assisting with ISO9001 management system duties
– Ensuring suppliers and other third parties meet quality specifications

Candidate Profile

– Quality Management experience
– Manufacturing/ production/ engineering sector exposure
– Sheet metal inspection – preferred
– Experience using FMEA, 8D, AQAP processes
– Experience of PPAP process – Advantageous
– Solid knowledge of engineering drawings
