Supply Chain Coordinator (Temporary circa 3 weeks)

This role will be working closely with the Customer Service Team leader, to provide expectation levels of customer service to both UK and export customers, to be a key source of communication, processing orders and meeting customers high expectations.

What you’ll be doing:
· Develop and maintain customer relationships across UK businesses
· To be the first point of contact for general enquiries within supply chain
· Liaise with customers and members of the sales team both internal and remote, keeping them up to date with stock
· Keeping the customer informed of the status of their order, including any delays, product availability and credit issues by telephone and followed up by email
· Process incoming orders from customers in line with the order processing procedure
· Transferring orders onto the SAP system and issuing order acknowledgements to customers
· Liaising with Procurement to order non-stocked items
· Helping customers with any queries that they may have and directing them to the correct department if necessary such as Procurement, Sales or Accounts
· Maintain a good level of product knowledge
· Support Supply Chain Coordinators with overseas customers when required
· Any other duties as required

Experience
· Essential: Customer focused role, telephone and email customer service experience
· Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role, manufacturing background

Technical skills
· Essential: Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows operating system
· Desirable: SAP
