An amazing opportunity has arisen in Tunbridge Wells for a Front End Developer with a knowledge of various web software that can create or implement visual elements that users see and interact with, in a web application.

As a Front End Developer you should be able to demonstrate an interest in keeping up with the latest tools, technologies and best practices. Good communication skills are essential for this role.

The Front End/ WordPress Developer will be involved in:

Development of WordPress based websites
Development of web applications
Building libraries for future use.
Building reusable code
Creation of front-end templates
General administration and general maintenance of client sites
Working closely with all members of the project team (strategy, design, development and project managers)

To be successful for the role the ideal candidate will have:

Experience as a Front End Developer
Knowledge of UI/UX design
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and experience of developing custom themes for WordPress.
A good understanding of the SASS CSS
Will be proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
Experience with tools such as Sketch or Photoshop and a good understanding of SEO principles
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Awareness of code bundlers/splitters, i.e. Webpack

Job role
The position is responsible for the design and generation of marketing communications material, including printed and digital media, exhibition stand graphics, technical support material for internal and external customers, product photography, media library housekeeping and the maintenance of the company website(s).

Duties:
*Maintenance of company website.
*Creation of advertising artwork for both print and digital media.
*Creation, production and maintenance of sales brochures, product data sheets, sales/training presentations material.
*Creation and production of co-branded literature and other marketing materials for customer network.
*Liaising with print suppliers, ordering and managing print projects from start to finish
*Creation, production and maintenance of technical documents such as installation instructions and manuals.
*Creation and maintenance of product image library, utilising digital photography and 3D modelling.
*Other graphic design work as and when required.
*Providing support for exhibitions, customer events etc.

Person Specification
*GCSE in English and Mathematics
*Degree in Graphic Design or similar
*Graphic design within a B2B (business to business) environment
*Having worked for a manufacturer would be beneficial
*Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows operating system, Adobe Creative Suite 6 (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Powerpoint.
*SAP Business 1, experience with a website CMS and 3D Modelling (KeyShot or similar) would be advantageous
*Photography skills would be useful
*Motion and video experience would be beneficial but not essential

Please not this type of design is quite corporate. While we need someone with a creative flair, we need someone who has worked with more conservative brands and companies and should be demonstrated in your portfolio.

IT Support Technician – Temp

We are currently working with a leading global manufacturer of precision instruments used across a variety of industry sectors.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join their team on a 9 month temporary contract.

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for the following:

Record and provide first line support for all software issues
Provide support for the maintenance of all hardware – client and server
Support the printing infrastructure of all 3 UK sites
Support the maintenance and development of the telephone system
Field incoming support calls from staff at all 3 UK sites
Produce required systems related documentation
Assist in training users in the use of PC based software packages, eg. Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
Support the computer software and hardware training of employees

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience in a First Line Support role
A personal interest in computers
AX experience would be advantageous but not essential
Must have a customer focused mentality
Must be committed for the entire 9 months – this role could go permanent for the right candidate

Hours will be Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.15pm and Friday 8am to 3.50pm with 40 minutes for lunch.
