Monday to Friday 07:30am – 4:30pm

This position would suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and is looking to develop their technical skills. Ideally, you will be motivated to learn and grow in a trainee role and will be receptive to on-the-job training.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Trainee Production Operative

– Handling raw products
– Mixing large quantities of materials
– Filling machines with accurate measures of materials
– Setting and monitoring machines
– Ensuring materials are handled with care
– General warehouse/production duties where required
– Adhering to H&S regulations

Candidate Profile

– A strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude
– The desire to work in a practical and ‘hands-on’ environment
– Good accuracy and an eye for detail
– This role is physically demanding, therefore you will need to be physically fit and able to partake in lifting heavy material (circa 25kg)
– Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required
– Educated to GCSE level with good numeracy skills

Goods In Warehouse Operative

Role: Goods In Warehouse Operative
Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Location: Penshurst, Tonbridge

Our client, a rapidly expanding manufacturer with an excellent reputation for high-quality goods, is looking to recruit a Goods In Warehouse Operative to join their team permanently.

The Goods In Warehouse Operative will be responsible for managing all incoming goods into the site’s stores as well as assisting the Dispatch Supervisor with the day-to-day duties of dispatch. In addition, you will be required to assist with other warehouse/operations duties as needed and instructed by the Packaging Manager.

Your Responsibilities will include:
– Booking all deliveries from the Goods In area and entering all information into the companies systems.
– Printing all relevant labels as part of the booking process.
– Inspect the condition of goods and report damaged goods to the Packaging Manager.
– Check quantities of goods received against delivery notes and purchase orders and immediately report discrepancies to the relevant department lead.
– Move Quality Controlled approved materials and store them in the correct storage areas.
– Move goods around the warehouse into/out of racking areas.
– Move pallets as required depending on space constraints.
– Organise the warehouse and other storage areas.
– Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles (during deliveries and despatches)
– Assist with the preparation of consignments and outbound shipping, as required.
– Pick components for issue to assembly, as required.
– Assist with periodic stock checks and annual stock-take.
– Work in a safe, orderly manner taking into account the safety of others and following company health and safety policy and procedures.
– Work following the Procedures Manual and general company procedures and Work Instructions.
– Maintain the warehouse in a clean and tidy condition.
– Inform Management of any ideas for potential improvement in safety, training, procedures, products, etc.

Experience Required:
– Experience within a similar role is ideal.
– Good IT Skills.
– Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

Production Operators

Day/Evening Production Operatives
37.5 hours per week – £23,100pa increasing to £24,412 after 12mths
7.00am to 3.00am / 8am – 4pm – 2.00pm to 11.00pm

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the production team, for Day/Evening production operatives to join a great company that takes pride in their staff.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Electrical wiring and assembly in a quality-assured environment, using electrical drawings, wiring
schedules, and schematics.
* Assembly work using microscopes.
* Part and product preparation.
* Ensure manufacturing build times are met.
* Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
* Maintain the highest level, of workmanship standards, and product quality.
* Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
* Maintain a safe working environment.
* Follow company housekeeping policy.
* Be willing to contribute to an environment of process improvement.
* Accurately log on and off the barcoding Glovia ERP system for each job process.
* Follow and adhere to the company’s policies & procedures onsite.
* Undertake additional duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time and as instructed by the Team Leader/Production Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Ideally experience as a wire person. However, full training will be provided to all employees who do not have relevant experience.
* Ideally educated to GCE “O” level standard or equivalent preferably in English, Maths, and a Science subject.
* IPC 620 certified/trained would be desirable although full training will be provided.
* Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
* Have basic knowledge of equipment, tools, and measuring instruments associated with the
manufacturing of electrical wiring and cable assembly.
* Ability to work on intricate and small assemblies.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions.

Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is currently recruiting for an experienced Facilities and Manager to join their growing team on a permanent contract, based in Birmingham.

As the Facilities Manager you will be required to plan and coordinate specific site maintenance contracts and any remedial actions arising from the undertaking of the work, which will include the maintenance of the infrastructure of the site using SAP to request and justify any additional maintenance request.

Duties include:
– Responsible for statutory requirements for fire safety and loss prevention. This will require involvement in fire pump performance testing, sprinkler weekly bell testing,
zoned fire alarm system service contract, extinguisher gas systems, and monthly risk
assessment area checks and to be the responsible person for fire safety advisory and
competence on site.
– In conjunction with the Engineering Manager and Purchasing be involved in negotiating
the technical content of the site service contracts.
– Using SAP – to coordinate service contract WO’s and POs for the following and to carry out any remedial actions as necessary.
– Manage the backlog of work generated from Audits.
– Be available to provide support on planned shutdowns, supervising and carrying out key
tasks as necessary.
– If of an Electrical Discipline, to be able to support HV work, any necessary electrical shut works, Isolations, permits, and contractor control.
– To support Engineering Works identified by the utilities team
– Tank inspections and documentation of reports and any necessary rectification works.

What we are looking for:
– Experience in Large industry manufacturing.
– Level 3 Engineering Qualification.
– Full knowledge of legislative and compliance essentials of carrying out a site facilities manager role.
– Previous experience in managing compliance and legislation.
– A fully time-served engineer with practical and management experience. (In facilities management).
– Resilient Manager, with experience in dealing with conflicting priorities.
– Able to plan and coordinate multiple tasks.
