Business Development Manager
Hours: Full-time / Part-time / (Homebased / Kent Offices within distance to Tonbridge)
Salary: 45k (Uncapped OTE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager with knowledge and experience of secured lending or the Agricultural sectors to join an established company based in Kent

You will need a positive, can-do attitude with a proven track record of success in winning business. Your skills will include the ability to create and maintain effective internal and external relationships and a customer focused approach with the motivation to meet and exceed challenging targets.

Working as part of a motivated and successful team your duties will include:
Account Management Responsibilities
Manage your own territory, by building a network of commercial lending brokers to source loans, supplemented by good relationships with local bank managers and relevant professionals
Account management including contacting current borrowers to maintain and develop relationships including new business
Site visits to assess loan quality and source information for the underwriting team at head office
Good understanding of business and ability to present the essence of a case to the credit committee
Customer analysis
Follow ups on live loans in your area
Generate increased levels of revenue through proactive sales in distribution and service sectors
Work with the marketing manager to develop your own and the company’s brand in the region, through pro-active marketing campaigns

Qualifications and Skills:
IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good organisational skills
Good telephone manner
Good attention to detail
Conscientious with a strong sense of quality
Strong customer focus
A self-started who is able to work independently, but also co-operate with other BDMs in neighbouring territories
Self-motivating with ability to prioritise own workload
Drive and have own transport
Able to manage conflicting workloads and priorities, balancing proactive tasks with reactive requirements
