Assistant Buyer / Purchasing & Procurement Assistant (Manufacturing)
Monday – Friday, Full-time in office

The purpose of this role is to support in the sourcing of products and commodities in line with the business needs in order to meet customer expectations
*Ensure purchase orders and requisitions are placed on a timely basis in relation to confirmed customer orders
*Place orders for materials to replenish stock levels as and when required
*Collaborating with peers in purchasing team to support with the procurement needs for the business.
*Support the team by maintaining and monitoring KPI’s to optimise supply chain performance
*Identifying opportunities for cost saving initiatives and liaising with relevant stakeholders to achieve them
*Engaging with suppliers to establish effective working relationships and increase efficiencies within the supply chain
*Contacting suppliers and hauliers to establish estimated arrival times to ensure on time delivery, in full
*Supporting Purchasing Manager with related procurement projects
*Liaising with Production and Production planning on material availability and deliveries
*Ordering ad-hoc items for various business functions as and when required
*Working collaboratively with the Stores department to support the planning of stock movement and storage as well as establishing the need for replenishment of parts
*Gather and analyse spend and supplier data, providing relevant information to support business initiatives and improvements
*Manage product data using the relevant database functions
*Carrying out various administrative tasks that support the purchasing function; entering vendor information, invoices, pricing into internal systems.
