Main Purpose of Job Role:
The Compliance Assistant will assist the Manager in assessing, advising, monitoring and reporting across the business with a view to establishing, implementing and maintaining a robust and effective compliance framework through the creation of appropriate policies and procedures.

-Auditing underwriting files to ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company policies
-Keeping abreast of any regulatory changes that could impact the business
-Gathering information for the monthly MI, enhancing effectiveness where necessary
-Supporting with the provision of research, advice, guidance on legal and regulatory issues affecting the business.
-Assisting with the monitoring and reporting of all compliance risks and implementation of key compliance policies and procedures across the business.
-Supporting with the provision of guidance and support to staff in all matters relating to compliance regulation and promoting good practice.
-Issuing agreements to new clients.
-Assisting with the setting up monitoring audits, providing advice and signing off financial promotions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
-Qualified to A-Level standard or Degree level or equivalent
-2 years’ experience in the legal, insurance or financial sector, within a compliance remit
-Strong analytical skills
-Excellent Microsoft word and excel
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-A high level of attention to detail is essential to this position
-Integrity – maintaining consistently high standards of work, loyalty, honesty and commitment
