An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Financial Controller role with a difference.

This is an exceptional opportunity for those who have a strong acumen alongside their accountancy expertise, ideally with an ACA or ACCA qualification and experience working in a comparable role in the agricultural or horticultural environment.
*Ambitious and driven individual with potential and calibre to progress to Financial Director
*Responsibility for day to day of financial accounting management of the company business as well as the administration team, including payroll, recruitment, worker liaison, general workforce management, farm auditing/compliance combined with Health and Safety.
*Working with the management team on business growth and financial planning.
*Leading and managing the finance team and budget process.
*Overall cash management.
*Formulation of annual budget with management.
*Monitoring of budgeted figures versus actual & delivery of reporting method.
*Overall control of all financial transaction accountancy and audit matters.
*Presentation of annual accounts and treasury matters.
*Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statuary bodies are met.
*Preparation of monthly and annual accounts.
*Overall responsibility for the following internal departments within the group:-
oHR, Recruitment, Worker Welfare & Payroll
oIT, Accounts & other ad-hoc duties
oAudit Compliance, Health & Safety
1.A recognised qualification in accounting, ACA/ACCA qualified is desirable but not essential.
2.Strong appreciation of our business needs and resourcefulness and preferably within a Agriculture or Horticulture background.
3.Ability communicate well both internally or externally while maintaining the company brand in a professional and credible fashion.
4.Genuine leader with management skills, ability to delegate effectively and with a proactive approach.
5.Strong IT skills and good time management, organisational and multi-tasking skills.
6.Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across professional and operational boundaries.
7.Ability to identify needs and issues and recommend suitable and pragmatic courses of action and solutions, adopting a risk aware approach.
