This is a tremendous opportunity to work with a large independent care home charity that provides exceptional care to elderly adults on both a long term and short term respite basis. They provide housing across three areas, residential, supported and extra care, and they are looking for a Home Manager for their spacious and sociable home in the north of Kent.

Your position as the Home Manager will see you providing leadership to all areas of the home, from ensuring all staff provide a extremely high quality of person centred care to tailor to each individuals needs, as well as helping the charity promote new business opportunities to help continuously develop the home. You will provide management across many critical areas of the care home including ensuring social and medical care is provided to all residents, health and safety, the recruitment and appointment of staff, and managing the resources of the care home.
Your responsibilities will also include;
*Focusing on the residential experience and their care
*Promoting the charities value in the community and attracting new business
*Attending managerial meetings with both the Society and the Resident Support Group
*Ensure there is effective communication between the residents, their relatives and the staff
Your experience and qualification must cover;
*Minimum of 2 years senior management experience in a care environment
*Relevant care qualifications – NVQ level 5/ RMA
*Current knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
*Evidence of team building and strong leadership

This is an opportunity to best use your experience in a rewarding environment. The position is 37.5 hours a week and you will also have 30 days holiday with bank holidays on top.

You must also be willing to work weekends occasionally to fall in demand with the care home’s requirements.
