We are currently working with one of the UK’s largest, financial services companies based in Kent, who are looking for HR Assistant to join their growing business.
The HR Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent administrative service in the HR department, ensuring all relevant standards are met, handle HR matters reliably and respond to HR queries from managers and employees.
HR Assistant responsibilities will include:
Preparing employee files
Carrying out background and reference checks
Preparing information for Payroll
Update and maintain the Access database
Issue weekly notifications on joiners, leavers and amendments
Produce management information/reports using Access database
Preparing leaver documentation and carrying out exit interviews
Handle HR matters reliably and consistently and in accordance with legal requirements
Build effective working relationships with staff and managers at all levels
Issue formal documentation to employees (eg employment contracts, new starter packs, formal correspondence)
As the HR Assistant you will be able to demonstrate:
Good understanding of all aspects of the work of the HR team, including recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations issues, performance management and employment law.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Good IT skills including HR database knowledge and experience in a similar role.
Qualified to CIPD level 3.
