A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Operations Controller to join a company who are currently going through an exciting time of growth.
Your main focus will be to ensure that the Health & Safety and Legal compliance Procedures are adhered to, you will also be responsible for:
– Planning the daily distribution from various deports, within a specified time frame
– Negotiate best rates with sub contractors
– Ensuring that KPI’s are achieved
– Plan activities and resources to financial, Operational and customer services objectives
– Ensuring that all policies and procedures are up to date
– Building effective internal and external relationships
Key Skills Required:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a good, confident telephone manner when dealing with clients and customers
Computer literacy, ability to use and pick up our in-house systems, ideally WMS.
Highly organised, effective and logical thinker with ability to multitask
Flexible approach to working hours – punctual and excellent attendance
Ability to work without constant supervision in a high pressured environment
Own transport required
You will be working 5 days out of 7 with occasional 6th shift (including 1 weekend in 3 with days off in Lieu).
