Orders Coordinator / Bespoke Orders Lead
Near West Malling
Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

We are working with a leading local family-run business who are looking for an experienced Orders Coordinator to support specialist/bespoke requests. Not only will you be responsible for helping maintain relationships with high-end customers by understanding their requirements and exceeding their expectations, but you will be implementing processes to streamline the function for this growing company with a global remit.

To be successful in this position you need to have a wealth of experience working in a similar capacity.

*Develop an internal process for managing and delivering against special customer requests that fall outside the normal product remit.
*Research costs of special requests to give realistic costings for the customer.
*Interpret designs and technical drawings, using practical knowledge and experience of manufacturing efficiency.
*Liaise with Design Engineers to make proposed product designs time and cost efficient (material, process and labour costs etc)
*Proactively build up a pricing structure for special requests to streamline and make the process more efficient.
*Be the central point of contact for all departments, specifically sales, design and purchasing, in the process around delivering special customer requests.
*Input with the wider business with regards to suggestions for improvements for existing processes.
*Take accountability of stock checking reports and management for sales team.

*Come from a manufacturing background
*Ability to interpret designs / technical drawings from a mechanical perspective.
*Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel with the capability to use and manage tasks through an MRP system.
*Exceptional customer service skills.
*Knowledge of machinery and machine settings would be advantageous.
*Prior experience in a bespoke order processing/coordination role
*Experience with carpentry, cabinetry or wood-based products would be beneficial.
