We are currently working with a specialist manufacturer whose products are used in the construction industry.
Due to company growth and success, they are currently seeking an experienced Product Manager to join their established team on a full time, permanent basis.
The Product Manager will work as part of the Senior Management team and will oversee the whole product development lifecycle from market research, conceptualisation to prototyping, testing and assisting launch to market and monitoring against agreed budgets.
The Product Manager responsibilities will include:
Developing and getting agreement on a 3-5 year new product development roadmap
Compose comprehensive new product briefs
Develop business cases for new product introductions
Work closely with external teams to input into product and packaging development
Constantly review the whole market to gain insights for potential opportunities and threats to be addressed
Carry out benchmarking of competitor products/gap analysis
Gain customer insights that will help drive the required direction of business plans, product development and communications messages
Make proposals on product price positioning and structures
Monitor pricing within the market and report back to the team
Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Head of Sales to craft product marketing messages
Providing monthly reports of the progress of projects and NPI against agreed time frames
Lead and coach direct reports
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or construction environment. Have excellent product marketing knowledge and experience of launching new products.
