A survey conducted by the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) this week predicted that graduate vacancies are to increase by 12% this year.
According to the report, the highest growth can be expected in the IT/telecoms sector, where over a tenth of vacancies were left unfilled last year. The survey also looked at school-leaver programmes and found that a higher proportion of employers are looking to offer these compared to last year.
Other industries which were predicted to see increased graduate opportunities were construction, engineering and the public sector. The accountancy and professional services sector remains the largest in graduate recruitment.
This growth follows an increase of 4.3% last year and is great news for recent graduates hoping to start their career. At KHR, we have experience placing graduates in entry-level roles and helping them to get started on the career ladder. If you’re looking for an exciting graduate opportunity, or are looking to hire a degree-qualified candidate, give us a call and speak with one of our consultants to see what we can offer.
