* Ensuring proper stock control is maintained

* You will provide excellent support and able to work well alone as well as in a team, to ensure that the workflow within the production line flows efficiently and safely.

Accounts Manager (part qual – ACCA/CIMA/ACA)

We are currently working with a fantastic organisation based on the outskirts of Tonbridge, that are seeking to employ an experienced Accounts Manager (ideally you will be a part qualified Accountant – ACCA/CIMA/ACA) to join their Finance team.

The role will require you to assist the FC in a developing dept. with the day to day running of the Finance function and implementation of new stock/MRP system.

Duties will include:
*Production of monthly management accounts
*Preparation of trial balance, year-end file for the Accountants and quarterly VAT returns
*Cashflow forecasting
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Monthly sales and margin reporting
*Maintain accurate fixed asset register
*Management of accruals/prepayments
*Assist with accounts payable process
*Assist with sales invoicing and management of debtors

Key skills /experience:
*Part-qualified Accountant – ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
*Display competence in both costing and stock analysis
*Sage 50 Accountants Professional or similar accountancy software
*Advanced Excel skills (V-Lookups, sum-if functions, pivot tables)
*Proficient in all other Microsoft Pro 10 packages (Outlook, Word etc.)
*Quarterly VAT returns
*Manufacturing industry experience
*SAGE Manufacturing/Batch Controller or similar MRP system would be an advantage
*Preparation of monthly EC Sales List and Intrastat reporting would be an advantage
*Inventory management – desirable
*Implementation of SAGE Manufacturing/Batch Controller system – desirable
*Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Have an inquisitive, confident nature, keen to understand the whole picture

Position: Head of Production
Location: Paddock Wood
£35-45,000 per annum dependent on experience

– 5+ years of previous production and management experience
– Qualifications at degree level (Engineering preferred)

– Previous Site Safety/Health & Safety experience (NEBOSCH / IOSH)

Operations Manager

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic organisation based on the outskirts of Tonbridge that are seeking to employ a very well experienced Operations Manager with a wealth of experience incl. managing all aspects of operations, production, manufacturing and support functions within the business. Duties include:
Develop the overall production plan and schedules
Regular liaising with Commercial department to manage customer expectations
Oversee the planning of production in conjunction with Production and Warehouse area staff
Direct site development projects such as investments in production technology and engineering projects and process flow planning
Undertake financial analysis of all production operations
Undertake regular business planning and reporting on outcomes
Manage, motivate, and develop staff to build a team
Lead and manage the performance of the Production team
Liaise with Sales team to confirm sales forecast
Responsibility for the integrity and quality of Operations
Directly accountable for achieving business targets for product unit costs, health and safety compliance and Operations Dept overheads
Deliver capital investment programs to time and budget
Responsible for the turn-around of under performing operations/processes
Compile and monitor departmental budgets
Identify key performance parameters and establish relevant monitoring
Negotiate with suppliers of packaging, utilities and raw materials

Skills and experience required:

Extensive experience in FMCG, pharmaceuticals or other related industry
Managing a similar function in a production centred SME of similar scale and playing a significant part in the growth of that business
Significant cross functional management experience
A relevant degree would be highly advantageous
Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
A team player with a pleasant and affable personality
Demonstrated competency in managing all aspects of the Operations
Good people management skills to lead and motivate all members of the team
Effective planning and strategic thinking
Reporting of Key Performance Indicators
Previous Site Safety/Health & Safety experience (NEBOSH / IOSH)
Continuous process improvement and implementation
