Job description
We are seeking an organised and motivated Purchase Ledger Clerk/ Accounts Assistant. You will be responsible for a varied number of functions in a support capacity utilising organisational, analytical, administrative and numerate skills. Professional and highly committed with a can-do approach, you will interact and learn from the team around you, whilst familiarising yourself with purchase ledger, payroll and other accounts processes.

Responsibilities:
⦁ Coding and processing UK invoices onto the companies’ system (obtaining approval and scanning)
⦁ Preparation of BACS payments
⦁ Expense checking and analysis
⦁ Reconciliations:
⦁ Petty Cash
⦁ Bank
⦁ Payroll – Monthly circa 100 permanent employees

Desired Skills and Experience
⦁ Good GCSE’s (including English & Maths) plus A’ Levels or recent diploma but candidates with strong relevant experience will be considered.
⦁ AAT would be essential (ideally level 3 but flexible)
⦁ At least 4+ years business experience.
⦁ At least 2+ years accounts experience.
⦁ Good analytical skills and experience of using Microsoft Word & Excel to advanced level.
⦁ Organised/ able to plan and prioritise work.
⦁ Methodical with paperwork and ensure an accurate filing system is maintained

They need someone on no or short notice who is happy to start on a temp basis via KHR.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for incoming calls, whether they are clients, wholesalers, contractors, suppliers or the sales team. You will also be required to support the sales team with a number of administrative duties in a fast-paced environment, providing a dependable support function for the team.

Role Responsibilities:

* You are responsible for the coordination of overseas order processing, quotations and assisting with client requirements.
* Raising accurately priced quotations for project opportunities within the companies accounting software, ensuring all tenders receive a quote within the tender period prescribed by clients.
* Generate excel based cost schedules that are prepared for pricing project work.
* Chasing deliveries and liaising with the logistics network to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments.
* Managing and maintaining the internal running of retail rollout clients and coordinating their store fit out program needs.

About You:

* Previous admin experience is essential
* You must be computer literate with excellent numeracy and communication skills
* Good all round working knowledge of Microsoft packages; Excel, Word etc
* Well organised, logical and creative thinker with a problem-solving attitude and a keen eye for detail.
* Previous experience working in a commercial environment and previous electrical wholesale or lighting experience would be an advantage
* Prior import/export experience is preferable and previous experience with IRIS Exchequer accounting software would be desirable but not essential.

Furnace Operator – Job Summary:

A hands-on role within the furnace department, providing additional support & a back up to the department supervisor. Main duties will involve loading & operating all the heat treatment furnaces on site, and in particular their two new vacuum furnaces.

Key Tasks/Objectives of this role:

* Operate all furnaces; ensure correct procedures & specifications are followed.
* Quality check all furnace cycles.
* Aiding the supervisor in organizing workloads for 2 furnace loading operators.
* Log any malfunctions with the maintenance dept.

Furnace Operator – Responsibilities:

* 8 Heat Treatment Furnaces
* 2 Furnace Loading Operators

Essential Skills:

* Some experience with vacuum/gas fired furnaces in a production environment.
* IT Proficient (experience of Excel/Word/).
* Good organizational skills (multi-tasker)
* Team player
* Willingness to learn.
* Hands-On Role – must be capable of loading/unloading/being on their feet all day.

Electronics Engineer

Our clients, a specialist metal manufacturer, have an exciting opportunity due to continued growth and expansion. They are looking for an experienced, Electronics Engineer to join their team and become part of their professional, industry leading company.

This position will involve experimental setup, realisation, and measurement of magnetic fields in the ELF-RF range via magnetic probes and RF antennas, for both research and technical support purposes. The position will also involve the construction and operation of compensation coil systems for nullifying magnetic fields, and systems for the degaussing of large enclosures.

The candidate will be required to perform test set ups, operations and calibration independently, whilst documenting procedures and results. The role will require communication with customers to provide technical support, which can additionally involve site visits, and will call for the flexibility and self-motivation required to work in a dynamic SME.

Requirements:

* Practical experience with a range of electronic measurement and signal generation equipment
* Basic programming skills for equipment automation
* Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent related field
* Technical documentation skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills, including liaising with customers

Desirable:

* Experience in the field of RF antenna design for testing and measurement purposes
* Experience with low frequency fields (< 1kHz)
* Knowledge of EMI shielding techniques and a familiarity with EMI testing standards, i.e. MIL-STD or IEEE
* Experience with EM modelling software

Key objectives are:

Dealing with breakdowns – fault finding both electrical & mechanical issues.

Routine, regular preventative maintenance (oil changes/water dosing/filters etc)
Maintaining/ repairing machinery on site including deep drawing presses/ hydrogen atmosphere retort furnaces/ vacuum furnaces.
Keeping production equipment going.

Essential skills:

* Some experience with vacuum/electric powered furnaces in a production environment.
* Experience of pneumatic operated presses.
* Experience of pumps/motors/compressors.

* Good organizational skills (multi-tasker)

About the Role – Sheet Metal Worker:

* The successful candidate will work with bending, forming, finishing and fabricating metal in accordance with customer orders
* Occasionally, you may also be involved in spot welding in the creation of bespoke metal products
* Your duties will include ensuring the parts you are producing reflect the order and are created to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following duties:

* The successful candidate must have a good understanding of pattern development and should be capable of hand finishing to a high standard.
* Forming, bending and rolling in various gauges ranging from 0.35mm to 5mm.

Required Skills/Experience:

* You must have a working knowledge of fine limit sheet metal and be experienced in sheet metal processes including fabrication and sheet metal assemblies combining fabricated and machined components
* You must be competent at general Sheet Metal duties including deburring, drilling and spot welding
* TIG welding experience would also be beneficial although this is not essential.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has programmed, set and operated some of the following machines:

* LVD CNC press brake
* LVD Laser
* CNC punch press
* Power Guillotines

The candidate will be expected to help in the development of manufacturing processes and in material analysis and optimisation. The role will require communication with customers to provide technical support, which can additionally involve site visits, and will call for the flexibility and self-motivation required to work in a dynamic SME.

Requirements:

* Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science
* Experience in an industrial environment would be an advantage
* Technical documentation skills

* Knowledge of NiFe alloys would be an advantage
