Tool Setter

Our clients require an experienced Tool Setter to bolster their current team of engineers within an expanding manufacturer of specialist metal products.

A hands-on role within the manufacturing department. Looking for someone with a mechanical mind, who can adapt and transfer their existing setting skills to our particular product range.

Key Tasks/Objectives

– To set all tooling for the presses each day as per the supervisor’s instruction.
– To work effectively with the tool room on repair/refurbishment of tooling.
– To work with the tool room & subcontractors on the design and installation of new tooling.
– Aid in training for the operators to ensure best practise is followed.
– To strip down and clean tooling at the end of a batch run, noting any faults/wear etc.
– To Generate and maintain a tooling register.
– To organize and maintain the tooling storage area.

Responsibilities:

9 Hydraulic Deep Drawing Presses & Associated Tooling

Essential Skills:

* Experience on operating hydraulic presses.
* Experience of tool setting.
* Good organizational skills (multi-tasker).
* Good communication skills, able to establish and maintain effective contact with staff of all levels.
* Understanding/Experience of ISO 9001.

Desirable Skills:

* Experience of Tool maintenance, (stripping down/cleaning/fault finding)
* Experience of Tool design.

Inside Sales Executive

We are currently working with a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialist heating products.

Due to growth, they are currently seeking an Inside Sales Executive to deliver annual revenue and profit results from an assigned customer and/or geographic portfolio in support of the company objectives and growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

*Deliver sales results from an allocated customer portfolio in line with company objectives and growth strategy.
*Show appropriate team behaviours through acting as an exponent of the company mission, vision and values.
*Use call planning to focus on high potential accounts and prospects.
*Execute the sales and marketing strategy to target key accounts.
*Negotiate customer proposals, ensuring effective and timely communication between internal departments and customers via telephone, email and other office communications.
*Update all systems and CRM when any contact is made with a customer or prospect.
*Deliver on Key Performance Indicators based on call activity.
*Develop customer relationships to grow account spend through upselling and cross-selling.
*Report directly to the inside sales manager who is responsible for coaching and personal development of the team.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

*Industry or other relevant sales experience is preferred
*Sales qualifications E.g. ISMM
*Understanding of sales methods into re-sale channels
*Experience of delivering training in technical products and ability to understand detail

CNC Setter/Operator

Our clients are a leading manufacturer of specialist metals. They are currently experiencing an exciting period of growth due to increased demand for their unique products.

They require a CNC Setter / Operator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Setting and operating a CNC sliding head lathe to produce small, medium a large size batches of work in a timely manner
* Inspecting work to Engineering drawings using standard measurement equipment and reporting quality defects to the production supervisor
* Daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks on machines, including maintaining good housekeeping standards and reporting any issues promptly to the onsite maintenance team
* Optimising efficiencies through reduced set-up and cycle times, plus tool life monitoring
* Deburring, cleaning, final inspection and completion of shop floor paperwork
* Adhering to Health and Safety procedures

Essential Qualities include:

* Practical, hands on experience setting and operating multi-spindle, multi-axis CNC sliding head lathes, with a minimum of 3 axis
* Experience of Star SR-20R type lathe a benefit
* Experience within a low batch component manufacturing industry
* Previous experience in cycle time reduction, and tool management and optimisation
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings, with the ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently

Salary: £25k – £32k depending on experience

Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00. Overtime available

Maintenance Support Engineer

They now seek a multi-skilled Maintenance Support Engineer to bolster their current team of Maintenance Engineers.

Duties/Responsibilities

* Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks particularly those involving general building maintenance, examples include – assembling furniture, fixing broken taps, changing light bulbs, painting & decorating etc

* Acting as support to in-house maintenance team assisting team with electrical & mechanical fault-finding, repairing machinery & equipment

Essential Skills:

* Good all-round ability in “handyman”/handyperson skills
* Ability to be flexible according to the job role requirements
* Pro-active attitude
* Able to work as part of a team and also on own initiative

Desirable Skills:

* Experience with electrical and mechanical equipment in a production environment

Salary: £20K – £25K

Contract: Full time, Permanent Hours: Mon – Fri, 08:00 – 17:00 (42.5h per week)
