When recruiting, an applicant who has a bad experience can damage your brand. It might quite easily be something you did not do that results in a bad experience.

• Acknowledge every application (ideally upon receipt)?
• Give constructive feedback to unsuccessful applicants?
• Respond immediately to requests for information (including over the telephone)?
• Collate multiple applications from single candidates to ensure a standard response?

Does your advertising:

• Communicate your brand and portray your organisation correctly?
• Reach a wide audience to ensure diverse applications?
• Support and enhance your social media strategy?
• Appear fresh each time and not give the impression of “hard to fill” roles?
• Comply with the law?
