We are seeking to recruit experienced engineers with a Microsoft background to support Unified Communications including Lync 2013, Exchange and Sharepoint.
Working from prestigious offices in Central London you will be responsible for
*The integration of services and solutions to existing and new customers;
*Supporting customers’ Unified Communication solutions, liaising with vendors and internal teams, and following all appropriate company processes to ensure that the highest levels of service is delivered;
*End-to-end deployment of standard solutions from the company’s portfolio, for new customers;
*Promoting the sharing of knowledge about UC solutions, with customers and colleagues using the correct company knowledge management systems where appropriate;
*Supporting the design and deployment of non-standard solutions from the company’s portfolio, and contributing to the design and documentation of those solutions
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Proactive support on the following – but not exclusive:
*Unified Communications: Lync 2010/2013, Exchange 2010/2013, Sharepoint 2010/2013
*Microsoft: Active Directory Administration, Certification, Group Policy, Microsoft Server 2008/2012, Windows 7/8, SharePoint, Virtualisation technologies, SQL
*Telephony: Voice configuration of Lync server and integration of Lync to the company’s voice networks
*Security: Network and Application Security, Firewall technologies, SPAM, Anti Virus, SMTP Security
*Networking: TCP / IP / DNS / DHCP / SIP / TLS, Virtual Private Networks VPN
*Identify Lync and other Microsoft application issues, resolving where possible or escalating; create and maintain documentation of the root cause of a problem in the Lync environment using company knowledge management systems where appropriate
*Perform afterhours and/or weekend maintenance activities as scheduled; conducting system tests after applying patches, software installs, upgrades or hardware installs or upgrades.
*Participate in defined team projects and activities, carrying out complex delivery and configuration activities, and resolving problems without direct guidance from a manager where necessary. Maintain performance levels which meets or exceeds standards as defined in the performance metrics.
*Maintain and perform periodic testing of disaster recovery procedures for the Microsoft and associated application stack including newer software versions to be supported as they become available
