Our client is a family-run leading manufacturer who is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their business. If you have experience as a CNC Machinist and are looking for a company that will value you, then this is the role for you!

CNC Machinist role:
– The candidate will work within our tool-room department operating our CNC-controlled lathes & 2 mills to generate components required for tooling or directly by our customers
– Most components are designed in-house and will require the successful candidate to use the 3D model to generate the machining code within Inventor CAM software, which feeds directly into the machines
– You will also in collaboration with our design department aid in the design of any fixturing or jigs that may be required to allow the machining of the components

Candidate Profile:
– Min 2 years experience operating or programming CNC machines,
– Have experience with controllers
– Design and manufacture of machine fixturing
– Produce small, complex batches of components to high-quality standards
– Some experience working from engineering drawings
– Ability to work within a team to ensure deadlines are met
– Experience with sliding head lathes would be advantageous
– Be a team player and be able to work to tight deadlines

Administrator – Planning/Scheduling

We are currently working with a specialist engineering business based in Maidstone.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an Administrator to join their established team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Working closely with all operational departments, the Administrator will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations, scheduling of works and service-related activities for the engineering team, and acting as a support function to operations management and supervisors.

Responsibilities will include:

* To provide outstanding Customer Service at all times and answer incoming calls and emails professionally
* Raising work orders for all customer callouts, PPMs, and associated tasks
* Scheduling engineering calls, PPMs and quoted works assigning engineering resources to tasks ensuring the SLA of the task is achieved, and booking works with the site
* Applying for all appropriate permits/hire of equipment to ensure completion of tasks
* Working together with the Contract Administration team to monitor the engineer’s work schedule daily, ensuring workloads and routes are planned for maximum efficiency for cost-effectiveness and Customer KPI requirements
* Monitor and update all relevant customer portals as and where needed with updates on the status of open jobs

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience working within a busy office environment
Good IT skills including use of Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills
Excellent telephone manner
Excellent interpersonal skills
Numerate
Good UK geographical knowledge
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

KHR is working with a leading manufacturer in the outskirts of Maidstone who are looking for a Paint Preparation Operative to join their team! If you are an experienced Paint Prepper, with excellent attention to detail, then this is the role for you.

Duties include:
– To prepare fabricated parts for wet painting including drilling, fettling, filling,
sanding shot blasting, sealing, washing, cleaning degreasing, and masking of
components.
– Using power tools for drilling, grinding, and sanding component surfaces in line with the company’s processes
– Masking of threads and bores to protect from shot blast damage and paint ingress
– Handling these components through the blast equipment and washing equipment to achieve a good surface finish and high cleanliness level ready to accept the paint.
– Hanging components in an efficient manner for priming, painting, and baking
– Unloading components and packing for delivery to production areas and stores ensuring the paint finish is not damaged
– Day-to-day monitoring of the blast profiles
– Daily cleaning of prep lines and prep bays
– To take personal responsibility for the PPE issued and ensure it is kept in good condition at all times
– To clean and carry out regular preventative maintenance tasks on the shot blast
– Daily and weekly 5s and housekeeping duties
– To comply at all times with the company H&S policy and to ensure that all work is carried out in line with the relevant Risk Assessments
– To adhere to the Company’s environmental policies and legal duties, specifically control of emissions, management of solvents, and the disposal and recycling of
waste products

-Excellent attention to detail and ability to visually inspect each component as it is
being prepared
– Able to work to high-quality standards
– Good hand-eye coordination
– Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly
– The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

TIG Welder/Sheet Metal Worker

We are currently working with a leading specialist manufacturing company based near Maidstone.

Due to growth, they are currently seeking a TIG Welder/Sheet Metal Worker to join their friendly and established team on a full time, permanent basis.

Requirements:

The ability to read and work from engineering drawings, be a team player and be able to work to tight deadlines.
You will be expected to utilise your skills in creating bespoke metal products for the customer in accordance with their order.
Working with a combination of fabricated and machined components.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in TIG welding.

Hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with 50 minutes’ break per day.
