Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their site in Birmingham at a time of huge growth for the business.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a multi-skilled maintenance team that works together as a flexible and professional unit. You will be required to assist with both breakdown and preventative maintenance across the site safely and professionally.

Duties include:
– Adhere to all safety rules and requirements at all times.
– Carry out routine daily preventative maintenance checks.
– Work alongside the Production Team Leaders, Shift Technicians and Operators, reporting findings to your Departmental Team Leader.
– Take responsibility for any specific area as required to understand its operation and fully understand the maintenance requirements and safe systems of work for that area.
– Ensure that all tasks are accompanied by the relevant supporting documentation (work orders, risk assessments etc.).
– Carry out all non-planned and planned maintenance tasks promptly.
– Be a front-line point of communication for Production Team Leaders, Shift Technicians and Operators during maintenance activities.
– Be actively involved in projects of improvement, extension or modification of equipment to optimise efficiency, reliability and safety.

What we are looking for:
– HND/HNC Electrical Engineering (Essential)
– Previous experience in heavy industry and an understanding of 3-phase control systems
– Knowledge of PLC fault-finding
– Knowledge of Isolation Procedures
– Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Mechanical systems
– Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
– Attention to detail with the ability to analyse problems and action solutions.
– Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
– Ability to self-organise, prioritise work and adhere to deadlines.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Paint Sprayer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-quality finish of our client’s fabricated metal products.
You will be responsible for preparing, masking, and applying paint to a range of components, contributing to the overall success of the company and its commitment to delivering exceptional cleansing vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Read and assess production information to determine required specification details

* Set up and maintain spraying equipment to ensure optimal performance

* Carry out masking procedures to protect areas not requiring paint

* Apply primer and main coats to fabricated metal products, ensuring a high-quality finish

* Conduct quality control checks on finished jobs to maintain standards

* NVQ 3, City and Guilds, or equivalent qualification in paint spraying

* Good hand-to-eye coordination to apply paint with precision

* Ability to follow written instructions and adhere to specified procedures

* Safety-conscious approach to work, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others

* Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of different coatings and finishes

* Understanding of surface properties and preparation techniques

Position Overview

As a Warehouse fulfilment operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of customer orders. Responsibilities

– Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for dispatch
– Pack orders from small single-items to large complex multi-item orders
– Utilise digital devices to process orders and manage inventory
– Receive, check, and book in incoming stock, organising and putting away goods
– Replenish stores as required to maintain optimal stock levels
– Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment
– Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
– Assist with other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager

Requirements

– Previous experience working in a similar fulfilment environment
– Familiarity with using digital devices for order-picking
– Adequate understanding of the English language for health and safety purposes
– Hit and exceed KPI’s
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting
– Ownership of safety boots and commitment to wearing them on the job

Shift Pattern

You will be scheduled to work 5 shifts per week. Shifts are subject to change and will be based on which department you are working in.
