Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their site in Birmingham at a time of huge growth for the business.

As a Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a multi-skilled maintenance team that works together as a flexible and professional unit. You will be required to assist with both breakdown and preventative maintenance across the site safely and professionally.

Duties include:
– Adhere to all safety rules and requirements at all times.
– Carry out routine daily preventative maintenance checks.
– Work alongside the Production Team Leaders, Shift Technicians and Operators, reporting findings to your Departmental Team Leader.
– Take responsibility for any specific area as required to understand its operation and fully understand the maintenance requirements and safe systems of work for that area.
– Ensure that all tasks are accompanied by the relevant supporting documentation (work orders, risk assessments etc.).
– Carry out all non-planned and planned maintenance tasks promptly.
– Be a front-line point of communication for Production Team Leaders, Shift Technicians and Operators during maintenance activities.
– Be actively involved in projects of improvement, extension or modification of equipment to optimise efficiency, reliability and safety.

What we are looking for:
– HND/HNC Electrical Engineering (Essential)
– Previous experience in heavy industry understand 3 phase control systems
– Knowledge of PLC Fault finding
– Knowledge of Isolation Procedures
– Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Mechanical systems
– Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
– Attention to detail with the ability to analyse problems and action solutions.
– Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
– Ability to self-organise, prioritise work and adhere to deadlines.

Compliance Manager – Manufacturing

Due to ongoing expansion, they are currently recruiting an experienced Compliance Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities will include:

Overseeing prototype testing (both in-house and external) to ensure correct required
the specification is achieved.
Act as internal subject matter specialist, advising colleagues and peers to technical queries as appropriate.
Developing and maintaining a highly accurate certification system including Test Reports,
Classification Reports, EXAPs (Extended Field of Application Reports), Declaration of
Performance reports, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and appropriately accessible.
Input to and validation of technical content of Company documentation. (Technical
drawings/specifications, brochures, IO+Ms, labelling, sales/purchasing documentation).
Conducting audits, developing procedures, and assessing and reporting potential risks and
proposing improvements.
ERP system – Overseeing data within the company ERP system, primarily outputs of configurations and cutting sheets data will be necessary for existing and new products.
Keep up to date with current trends, practices, market developments, standards and regulatory changes that impact on the company’s products and procedures.

Experience/Qualities Required:

Extensive industry experience required including in-depth understanding and
knowledge of compliance, audit and certification requirements.
Ability to act internally as a subject matter expert with an in-depth understanding of relevant regulations and legislation.
Experience in working with accreditation bodies, trade associations, etc. with proven
ability to build good relationships.
Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to
achieving results.
High attention to detail with excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
Excellent, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical
information to a range of audiences.
Very proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
Proven ability to work competently both on own initiative and as part of a team.

I am currently working with a reputable fulfilment centre based in Paddock Wood which is looking to hire a dedicated and highly experienced Warehouse Supervisor for their team permanently.

The Warehouse Supervisor will lead the goods-out team, overseeing inventory, order processing, distribution, and overseeing performance and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will oversee the warehouse facility’s daily operations by ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor will include, yet not be limited to;

* Set and monitor team KPIs to ensure targets are met
* Host daily meetings with the warehouse team to review priorities, address challenges, and set objectives for the day
* Provide training and development opportunities
* Act as the point of referral for crucial cases, such as inventory discrepancies or urgent orders
* Set up measures to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies
* Coordinate annual stock take and cycle counting procedures
* Follow proper slotting procedure to optimise warehouse layout and maximize efficiency

* Foster a continuous improvement culture

* Utilise experience with 5S methodology to maintain an organised and efficient warehouse environment
* Ensure daily maintenance of warehouse equipment to reduce downtime

Candidate Profile

– Previous experience working in a similar fulfilment environment
– Demonstrate strong leadership skills in a previous supervisor role
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics
– Familiarity with relevant software systems and tools for inventory tracking and management
– Health and safety certification preferred
– Lean Six Sigma certification or training would be advantageous
– Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Refrigeration Service Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a National Refrigeration/Air Conditioning business who have been established for over 30 years and boasts an annual turnover exceeding £10 Million, they currently employ approximately 140 members of staff including 100 engineers.

Due to business growth, they are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer who is capable of working on a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning (80% refrigeration-focused) equipment including:
* Splits
* VRV’s
* Walk-in chillers/freezers
* Commercial refrigerators
* Cellar cooling
* Ice machines

The starting salary will be £40,000 basic per annum with regular overtime that will see you earn anywhere from £1,000-2,000+ per month extra. They do operate an on-call rota which is one in every four weeks and one night a week. This role will be covering the Exeter/Torquay area.

The role:

– Attending customer sites (mostly pubs, restaurants, hospitality etc.) daily
– Interacting with customers

The person:

– F-Gas certified/NVQ 2/City & Guilds in Refrigeration
– Full driving licence
– Previous experience as a Field or Service Engineer in refrigeration/air conditioning is essential
