Position Overview
As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing a team of engineers and specialists to deliver high-quality projects on time, without impacting production. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Ensure that vehicle demonstrations are carried out at times required by the customer/RSM and used to their full potential

Keep machines clean, tidy, and maintained following operational requirements, washing vehicles weekly as a minimum

Load vehicles onto transporters where necessary, ensuring due care and attention to minimise the risk of damage

Drive loaded vehicles to customers as required, unloading in compliance with relevant procedures

Complete work records as required, including a daily route log and any other necessary documentation

Maintain safe and legal telephone contact with the sales office to report problems and receive changes in instructions

Report any accidents, “near misses”, damage, and significant hazards to the Transport & Fleet Manager and the Health and Safety Manager

Ensure that all work undertaken complies with statutory regulations, codes of practice, and operating procedures

Complete all demo pre- and post-reports

Travel within the UK and Overseas as directed, staying away and working outside core hours to suit the needs of the customer and sales team

This is a hands-on role – on scheduled maintenance/shutdown days, Process Engineers work closely with the team and often get covered in pulp (despite the mill being very clean). If you shy away from this level of involvement, this will not be a good fit for you!

If you progress to the second stage of the interview process, you’ll need to demonstrate curiosity, ask relevant questions, and show genuine enthusiasm to roll up your sleeves and get involved.

Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and support process improvement programs, monitor plant processes, and assist in troubleshooting

– Record and publish the Technical Specification, agreed achievements and deliverables monthly
– Identify and target potential architects, specifiers, and contractors involved in EWI and render projects
– Establish and nurture relationships with industry decision-makers
– Network, attend industry events, and arrange meetings to promote products and services
– Educate stakeholders about the benefits and features of EWI and render, demonstrating compliance with building codes and standards
– Work closely with architects and specifiers to ensure product specification, providing technical support and solutions
– Monitor industry trends, competitors’ activities, and regulatory changes

Requirements
– Proven experience in a similar technical specification role within the building materials industry
– Strong technical knowledge of external wall insulation, façade renders and paints, internal plasters, and healthy living solutions
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
– Proficiency in drafting technical specifications and creating detailed drawings
– Experience in delivering CPDs and presentations to architects and applicators
– Ability to manage and mentor junior team members

We are currently working with a National Builders Merchant based just outside of Maidstone.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Fork Lift Driver/Yard Operative to join their team on a temporary-permanent basis.

Responsibilities will include:
– Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised
– Looking after stock in the yard area
– loading lorries
– Driving a Forklift Truck (Counterbalance)
